Shock replacement cross reference
AURktman replied to Bob Pas's topic in Our Cars & Restoration Projects
I can’t upload a pdf here, so I linked it to the other website I posted it on. If you know the dimensions of the shock, you can find any suitable replacement. https://www.trifive.com/threads/shock-length-cross-reference.236539/ -

Rear quarter on passenger side finished, just need to block sand it with the rest of the car. Only problem rust left is the rear passenger dogleg. -

More work done. I’m still fighting the quarter panel, I messed up the cut so I have to do some splicing. This is the last rust repair I have in a door to fix, will get it cut out and patched tomorrow. Gauge cluster mocked up and trying to decide which side I want the 2” tach. -

What are you working on right now?
AURktman replied to Jeff Perkins / Mn's topic in Our Cars & Restoration Projects
Cleaning and repairing rust. It seems like that is all I do.. lol…. Before and after. I still have to spray the RaptorLiner tomorrow. -

Looking better now. Back half cleaned and a coat of rust converter curing overnight. Will start again tomorrow and finish cleaning, epoxy prime, and RaptorLine. Then weld on the quarter in very small spot welds. -

After I finish this one and my 60 Bonneville, I’m done with 4 doors. Twice the pain block sanding them…. 😆 -

More work done today. Door primed with high build primer and blocked out again, replacement quarter panel gone over and any little prang tapped out and back side cleaned, and wheels sanded again for another coat and center caps checked for fit. -

The firewall was bugging me so I lifted the body again and resanded/filled/sanded, primed, sealed, and resprayed. Here it is in sealer, I just finished respraying paint and no photos yet. -

Thanks! I was thinking of putting a matte clear on them instead of gloss. -

Wheels painted. I have a couple of runs to sand out but almost ready for chrome valve stems and tires. -

I keep forgetting to snap photos of the roof as I progress so I used a snapshot from my webcam. There has to be 10 pounds of filler and primer dust on the ground now and I’ve vacuumed it twice. It won’t be perfect, but it’s a driver anyway.
