  1. I do a lot of work on white roofing. Does this salt reflect the sun pretty bad back at you ?
  2. Outstanding. What was the average temp ?
  3. Guess you would start ripping the roof off and the interior door panels and carpets. Gutting it would seem the requirement as the mold and stink alone would be the second of the issues to what is underneath it all. Maybe one day I will take on a project like this but right now I am looking at getting at my own 151 here by the start of September. Finally concrete goes down monday for the new shop !
  4. This is on cars for sale right here. Running and driving Very restorable car, runs and drives, has got it's warts, mostly original, great entry car for the price.3500 firm.Dayton Ohio.
  5. Looking for a 1960-63 Dodge 4 door sedan. Pioneer, 880, Polara, ect.. Good driver, mechanically sound.
  6. Looking for a Pioneer or an 880 custom 4 door. Nothing special. Just a good running car that is mechanically fine and road worthy. Slant 6 to a 361. Interior ok, etc..
  7. Yeah, needs a real rescue mission. Wonder why a car so loved by a collector was put out to pasture to rot. I posted it some months ago but they have added more pictures. I bet 5 K could get it now. Think they had 10K on it before. At least now they have the top covered.
  8. Ask to hear it run, drive, and reverse. And listen closely
  9. Going grocery shopping in an old car is always a pretty entertaining experience here especially since cows far out number people and can get pretty dull till something different comes along to talk about!
  10. I can drink some Old Vienna. Sure it wasn't CV, Champagne Velvet ? Being in Canada most likely Old Vienna. A good beer back in the day
  11. Hopefully it wasn't just for coors light or some other "light" stuff that is only good for washing tires off with
  12. Until I posted a want add on both the HCCA and here looking for a 1931- 33 Franklin I would not have believed there were that many scammers lurking. But after I posted, I received well over 15 private messages saying they had one and half of those messages used the same old auction pictures from across the web. It is a good thing here you can see just how long a person has been a member and his activity.
  13. Striping the paint off looks to be an easy task. Just park it outside in the wind.
  14. What size rims are on a 1930 Franklin. The cost on these tools are all over the board with most folks listing them as Model T or Model A tools. Read through all the good instructions on the Pacific tool. The picture of the lady using it is pretty funny. I figure if a 110 pound women in a dress and heels can use it I should be able to figure it myself.
  15. Yes, I think that is more then a fair trade off ! Labor Day here is a crap shoot on if it will be 105 or 85. Nobody wants to go to a show and be standing on a parking lots asphalt when it will blister your feet
  16. You folks are lucky up north this time of the year with shows and swaps. Down here we have to wait until it cools down some and your tires don't catch fire sitting on the parking lots 250 degree asphalt !
  17. In TX toss on an original year plate and whenever driving your on your way for parts or to a shop for maintenance. I drive my 49 Roadmaster and 46 Dodge this way all the time. Read the clause in your insurance. Mine allows "minimal" pleasure driving BUT not as a commuter or daily driver. Now think about this. My 1997 Ford dually diesel I have owned since new is a second vehicle on the policy and basic insurance per year is a 200 buck add on. My work car is a daily driver 187 dollar a year add on bare bones 233k mile HHR. My new truck which I drive maybe twice a month is 165 a month ! The stupid safety features these days. I am looking for a 46-48 plymouth 4 door sedan to replace my HHR as a work car.
  18. Just how universal is the pacific rim tool? Larger and smaller models ? Is the B2 model good for most 30's rims ?
  19. Am I asking to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow when inquiring about finding one complete ?
  20. This only shows how much I have to learn about Franklins !
  21. ask to see the vid of it running and driving. Something doesn't sound right at all.
  22. Thanks, shame all the labels are gone. Looks like late 30's bottles.
