Wow. I felt something was fishy but my hopes were high I’d find what I needed for my Franklin project. Now after reading this due to concern, I think the same gentleman duped me as well. Called from Reno Nevada, said he lived in New Mexico and was in Nevada cleaning up his fathers property. said his dad had a barn full of franklin parts he was going to scrap soon due to selling the fathers house. Only happened to get a tip from fellow member of aaca forum because he had a flip phone and no internet due to rural area. Talked a while and discussed having what I needed, as well as other stuff he had to remove from property as it was sold. Could not take PayPal or other form of payment due to flip phone and so forth, reluctantly I accepted his price and he said he had a shipper in California who could freight the items, called back with a price for freight. He also had to go through his “deaf” wife regarding western union transfer which I did. Name for western union was William Richards. Something felt funny when he said the transmission bellhousing and other items were in a big box and must weigh 120 lbs or something. I said I bet it all weighs a lot more than that based on what I supposedly bought. Guess I’ll never see that money or the parts again. Wow someone needs to find this RAT.
