  1. When I was a young man (1960's) short self tapping hex screws were called "Gas Station Screws" and I was told they were used to put stations like this together. I think anything harder than this one would be too difficult for me these days:
  2. Not much info! https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/murrieta-original-1947-chrysler-windsor/7617647773.html 1947 Chrysler Windsor. All original parts. Clean title on hand. Car is running.
  3. This car looks familiar but searching this forum I did not find we'd seen it before. Could this be the original paint scheme? Doesn't seem likely. 1935 Chrysler Airflow Coupe C1 8 cylinder - $19,800 Running, driving project car. The base amount of effort required was put in to get this barn find to start, drive, brakes stopping, and some touch ups so it could be driven short distances and enjoyed. Seat covers put on. Original paint touched up but kept the old patina. Tires are old. Car is stored in Santa Barbara. (530) 802-0835
  4. I guess it depends on what the OBO can get you....pretty darn rough! https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/santa-rosa-1941-buick-convertible/7617454354.html This is a true barn fine no title out of the system. It’s a project but ready to get restored. It does need trunk floor and some passenger and driver floor patch and front of hood doors are solid quarters or solid.I do have an extra hood and fenders and front bumper comes with the car I am asking 16,500 but I will take best offer. 5. Seems correctly priced to me. No sure why the want to put a fuel pump on it instead of the vacuum tank system. I see it has a '28 engine, (big hp bump from '27). This is the last year for 2 wheel brakes. 1927 Chevrolet Imperial Landu for sale has been restored, needs fuel pump which I have and needs to be installed needs tires , asking 12,500 OBO. will need to trailer car. email: 1d05a05f5aed3443a63671cc91d521f7@sale.craigslist.org
  6. Depending on mechanical condition and your bargaining power, this MIGHT be a fair deal... https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/d/south-gate-1929-chevy-door-sedan/7616916414.html Chevy 1929 with lots of parts not enough time to finish it's have other family priorities,..10,500 OBO (323) 425-5589
  7. Looks like a nice truck but seems this is a lot for a 4 cylinder "B". 14 pictures in the ad but all show the exterior from the side! Are there white walls or not? https://monterey.craigslist.org/cto/d/aromas-1933-ford-pickup/7616969720.html I’m the second owner all original except for the positive ground 6 V alternator and the Kelsey Hayes wheels. I have the original generator and wheels. It has 356 gears in the rear end so it goes down the hiway good. The original engine is standard bore and has real bearings and rods, not Babbitt. Still retains most of its original paint. Fun and easy to drive. You could drive it anywhere. I’m open to offers I’m downsizing and several cars need to go. Has an excellent heater email: 300231c716df3f3081859fa388a6dfe8@sale.craigslist.org
  8. This is a price for a '28 Chevy sedan in mint condition, but this one doesn't appear to be (maybe if they washed it). https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/d/burlingame-1928-chevy-door-coach/7616961651.html Stock, runs good, solid wood and metal. Interior redone. Rebuilt radiator and starter. New stock exhaust. email: f27ea04de8de357cad3f644b949111e0@sale.craigslist.org

  10. Very impressive...I'd need a few lessons on driving for sure! https://www.prewarcar.com/379630-the-pinacle-of-stanley-steam-cars Much more text in ad.... It is believed this restoration was completed in 1995. The boiler is still in excellent condition showing little sign of use. In Peters ownership an alternator was discreetly fitted for battery charging purposes and also, a digital water gauge, which has shown to be surprisingly accurate in service. The car was acquired by us in 2018 and has undergone significant recommissioning work. The brake system (hydraulic) has been fully refurbished with wheel cylinders rebuilt at Past Parts and a new master cylinder. Steam automatic serviced and new diaphragm fitted, fuel system disassembled cleaned and fuel pump rebuilt. Water system disassembled, cleaned, pump rebuilt with new balls and reseated, Air system similarly rebuilt. The car has been extensively tested and is a delight to drive on the road. It is not currently set up to return condensate to the water system, this being exhausted however all pipework is believed present to switch this over with minimal effort.
  11. In Spain... https://www.prewarcar.com/474442-hupmobile-in-very-good-condition Nice Coupe, Total restoration, I can send whatsapp video 629181317, possible transport.
  12. At age 11 my dad let me drive our '59 Ford Wagon on the beach at Pismo. At age 38 I got my car stuck in the sand on the same beach and had to get someone to pull me out as the tide came in.
  13. Many European countries stopped using checks years ago. I just had a friend return from Asia and she said no one there used credit cards. All expenses on the trip were paid for with her phone. In the US any deposit over $10K in cash has to be reported...it's not getting easier for us older folks.
  14. Many years ago, when my boys were little their litter of baby hamsters escaped the cage and somehow got in the heating ducts. We could hear their little toe nails as the ran. About a week later, the older boy (10years) brought home a gopher snake which also escaped it's cage. Neither it or the hamsters were ever heard from again.
  15. Different situation here due to earthquakes, but San Francisco requires all buildings 4 stores and above to be inspected by a structural engineer every five years.
  16. At least it's only a lizard. Two doors up a neighbor's dog cornered a racoon in the living room, and two doors down a Black Bear was stuck in their redwood tree for a day.
  17. No idea if this is a correct price. NO info in the ad. Wonder where the air cleaner is.... https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/sacramento-1936-ford-convertible/7615904914.html# (209) 915-1313 ext. 911 email: 9212b1da2f46389993ae2202d480625f@sale.craigslist.org
  18. Not what you'd call a big price drop, maybe they plan to drop it $1200 every two weeks until it sells. I do love those disc wheels.
  19. Bidding hasn't "caught fire" so far, sometimes there are bargains here. Does need an interior....
