  1. That curved thing in the back might be to hold the brandy keg.
  2. Now $18,900...I guess that's a lesson on how hard it is to sell a modified car. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/d/chandler-1929-model-speedster-boat-tail/7688326721.html New email: f4ded1a2632d39928406a7786a8cc2fb@sale.craigslist.org
  3. I read this ad and thought...this is ridiculous! Then I came to the end: "No project cars!" and it became funny! https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/d/reno-1951-cadillac-convertible-caddy/7688123168.html Nevada desert car, very little rust with awesome patina. Missing seats, windshield, and top end of 53 engine. Power steering and windows. Off the road for at least 30 years, maybe longer. Bill of sale only. Possible trades for a 1960-70 original Cadillac, Lincoln gold Nevada art cam am or?? No project cars!
  4. I've had the opportunity to attend a a few events in Europe and I really recommend it! So fun to see "new" cars! Here's a couple from last September in Angouleme, a charming walled town about an hour from Paris by TGV.
  5. I would date death at the introduction of "The car or tomorrow", but it was pretty ill before that.
  6. The best thing about a water pump on a T is allows you to point out the "T"'s aren't supposed to need one. Unless you are really up on old cars, you wouldn't realize something we take for granted today isn't present.
  7. Seems like a lot of car for the money! (more pics in ad) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/petaluma-1926-nash/7688142046.html 1926 Nash Ajax sedan. Runs and drives great. Still has original interior. Current tags, clean title. Call me if you have questions.$9,500 (707) 494-0843
  8. It's not the seller's fault this car is worth so much, and to my mind, it was a much better thing to own back in the late 60's when it wasn't worth much at all. I remember seeing on on the street about 1965, and Henry Manny, who was the European reporter for Road & Track Magazine, drove one. He would sometimes refer to it as his "truck like Ferrari". Probably not very comfortable at 25mph.
  9. Makes me think of the red Pierce-Arrow in the Julie Andrews movie Thoroughly Modern Millie!
  10. No pics of "OG" interior....looks like a color change at some point.... https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/d/wilmington-1950-pontiac-silver-streak/7687791986.html Purchased from family owner from New. 11. Google says that's $134,740.18 More text and pics in ad https://www.prewarcar.com/476166-1926-packard-236-straight-eight-roadster-for-sale As the recipient of a complete restoration in the 1980s, this rare and stylish Model 236 Runabout Roadster still presents in excellent condition throughout. In a previous owner’s care for the past 16 years, it was stored in a temperature-controlled environment and regularly maintained by an on site mechanic. Lifting the bonnet reveals a tidy engine bay, to show standards and a little patina to some of the finishes. Mechanically, the car runs well and is ideal for enjoyment on scenic drives or touring with enthusiast clubs. Call Richard Biddulph. Mobile ++44 (0) 7967 260673
  12. Think what a hit this would be at the next Cars and Coffee! (more pics in ad) https://www.prewarcar.com/482149-hanomag-kommissbrot-2-10-ps-1924 It was called Kommissbrot (Army Bread) because of its identical shape to the common bread used by the German army at the time. It was the first German small car to be produced on an assembly line. The windscreen could be opened upwards to provide the passengers with a fresh breeze. In total, about 15,000 cars were made between 1924 and 1928.[ With the 10 HP single-cylinder 500 cc engine, the top speed was 60 km/h.
  13. I saw the price and said to my self "It would have to be a real award winner to be worth that" but guess what? https://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/d/las-vegas-1930-cabriolet-model/7685131329.htm 1930 FORD MODEL A CABRIOLET AACA 2022 WESTERN NATIONALS' JR FIRST WINNER PRODUCED APRIL 1930 BRONSON YELLOW/SEAL BROWN/ BLACK SKIRT LEBARON BONNEY INTERIOR RUMBLE SEAT/SIDE MOUNT SPARES 19 INCH WHEELS, NEW FIRESTONE TIRES ORIGINAL 4 CYLINDER ENGINE S/N A31597XX Many, Many extras Enjoy the history. email: e9741e6080f8399fbadfa717d71207c3@sale.craigslist.org
  14. Striking styling! It's not clear what engine is currently in the car... https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/norco-1948-buick-super-sedanette-hot/7684859570.html Not a perfect car, but a Nice example of survivor!! Straight 8 with a manual transmission and a 3rd member "pumpkin" freeway gears are included but not installed in good shape. Absolutely stunning interior finished in Ivory color. 12volt conversion. needs some finishing wiring behind the dash. Clear Arizona title. $19999 Firm!!!!!
  15. Ad says nothing about it's condition and the pictures show almost nothing but what you can see looks nice! (interior correct?) https://stockton.craigslist.org/cto/d/stockton-1928-buick-standard-six-model/7686452259.html Buick Standard Six Model 24 Sport Roadster Green with black fenders over green interior, and power comes from a 207ci inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission. 16. Far from perfect apparently, but it's one very handsome car, and to me has a lot of European influence.
  17. Also, I just noticed the registration is out of date by almost 2 years...old pictures or off the road?
  18. Looks like a fair deal! My ride pool in the 70's was in one of these...very comfortable! https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/walnut-creek-1941-chevrolet-sedan/7686742507.html 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe sedan. Stock and very original. Six cylinder. Three speed manual transmission. Not perfect but pretty darned nice. Will add more photos soon. Nine 2 five 2 one 6 one 1 five 8. Please do not make offers over the phone. Thanks for looking. - Tony
  19. These foreign "jeeps" are fun. I saw an Alfa one on a trip to Italy once.
  20. Yes, definitely a 28 engine, which is a pretty big bump in HP and has a cover over both the rockers and the pushrods. Maybe the Chevy experts can chime in...when did Chevy start making truck bodies?
  21. "Ma Bell" telephone repair truck is a great idea and totally correct. I had a '46 pick up some years ago. The previous owner had put some 15 inch wheels with the wrong off-set on it, once it got the 16 inchers, it worked well. The only issue was if you were traveling fast on the highway (like over 50mph) and the was a hump or dip that would unload the suspension, it wanted to change lanes. It is a prewar design. If it was running and driving this price would be good!
  22. Plus, Bend is a great place to visit this time of year before the ski crowd shows up.
