  2. I think the PB is the top of the heap in pre-war American 4 cylinders.
  3. Both usable and presentable and possibly over priced somewhat. (Buick money on the '40?) https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/d/sherwood-1940-chevrolet-specal-de-lux/7723528004.html Drive anywhere powered by 1957 235 with 3.55 gears. 4. Interesting ad...did some one die or maybe became too ill to continue? This car might win the prize for worst color, and that's a very competitive category! https://ventura.craigslist.org/cto/d/thousand-oaks-1939-chevy-coupe-more/7723871761.html 1939 Chevy Coupe 3-Speed tranny on the floor 6-cylinder stock 235 Chevy engine Needs brake work Car is a "survivor" and has been garaged. ***Sale also includes a standing drill press, two 56 Chevy front grills, and additional automotive parts***Please call Frank if interested/if you have any questions*** (805) 889-0507.....PHONE CALLS ONLY. 5. If this truly is a '32 PB, and IF the running gear and interior are good, this price MIGHT only be a few thousand off. Not much info here. The ad is written as if they charged by the word. What is the other car in the garage? https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/redding-1932-plymouth-coupe/7724396150.html 1932 Plymouth 3-window coupe, all original, 4 cylinder, 3 speed, sealed beam headlights. Only missing the radiator. 11,500k Ron 1-53O-941-O778
  6. You need to post this question on Porsche form. These cars have become expensive enough that "doing it correctly" is definitely worth it, and there are plenty of nitpickers out there.
  7. Looks like a nice car fairly priced! https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/modesto-53-packard-clipper/7724673523.html This is a very nice 1953 Packard Clipper! 8 cylinder, automatic All original Excellent body and paint No rust/ CA car $9500 or offer Please contact Gene (209) 281-7573
  8. Interesting vehilce to have around...
  9. The first P1800s were built by Jensen in England because Volo lacked capacity.
  10. Over on the Not Mine forum, there is a discussion of a car that may have been built in Canada and one was to tell is that if so, it would use Robertson head screws. Years ago, I remember dealing with late 50's GM products which used clutch head screws. What other uncommon fasteners are there? (Obviously the dreaded Whitworth!)
  11. Here's the new ad (same pics) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/alameda-1926-pierce-arrow/7724739739.html (510) 910-2445
  12. Another owner with no knowledge or interest..... https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/novato-1926-ford-model-roadster/7724941747.html For sale is a 1926 Ford Model T Roadster. Very good condition, no rust, inside looks very good, black paint. New front and rear bumpers and mounts. New exhaust pipe and muffler. Top is in very good condition, does go up and down. Paper work in my name and on an NOP. Ran, but not running at this time. Perfect for a smaller car project. No total rebuild or paint need, or you can build it as a hot rod or even make it electric. This car was placed for sale originally by an 80 year old gentleman who sold it to me in San Jose. I fell in love with the car and bought it, I did nothing to it, it is exactly how I purchased it from the original owner. Life changes, I don't have the space or time to properly take care of it. email: 3257b414d99237f6a0400e492f33318f@sale.craigslist.org

  14. Looks like a pretty nice example, but is ANY similar vehicle worth something close to $50K? https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/el-verano-1933-international-ton-stake/7725328816.html Frame off restoration completed in 2003. 4 speed manual transmission, with 6 cylinders. I purchased the truck at a Mecum Autions in Monterey, California in 2012. She's in Fantastic condition, paint and all!! I have all documentation as to the history of the vehicle, all paperwork regarding restoration, and title and DMV records. Please see attached images and vehicle description from Mecum Auctions. Could make a beautiful statement piece for a winery or a business. Make an offer I can't refuse!!! Call Claire @ (415) 497-2585
  15. All the choices he's made are wrong for me, but if the body is actually as nice as it appears and the running gear is actually good, it might only be a few grand high. Of course, that's a lot as a percentage.....
  16. My issue was very high pedal effort with little effect on speed. Possibly wrong lining set up...just never got it sorted.
  17. They say that correctly set up mechanicals with woven linings and cast drums works very well. I did have a Model A some years ago, and I apparently didn't have that set up. The 2 wheel brake '25 Chevy I drive these days causes far less anxiety. Might be a function of taking the time to "learn the car".
  18. Did Belgium get the gastarbeiter program? I remember that was very controversial among the Mercedes club in the early 70's.
  19. Certainly an impressive vehicle...(more pics in ad) https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/d/houston-beautiful-1930-cadillac-lasalle/7724213452.html 1930 Cadillac LaSalle Convertible Coupe, with rumble seat. Beautiful older restoration that was in a Michigan Car Dealership collection. Interior is leather and immaculate. The car starts easily and the original 340 ci V8 runs beautifully. The speedometer needs repair. A similar year and style Cadillac LaSalle recently sold for $82,000. Asking $69,900. Negotiable email: 00e4d21848ec33eea0a9da0d18ef645a@sale.craigslist.org
  20. It's very difficult to find previous Model A posts (too many!) but this has been for sale for a long time, beginning at a much higher price. This price seems pretty fair if inspection doesn't reveal something really bad. It would be a useful vehicle, you just need to be comfortable with an economy airline seating arraignment. https://slo.craigslist.org/cto/d/arroyo-grande-1928-model-pickup-truck/7717086472.html This 1928 Ford pickup looks I have been told, should not take a lot to get going again. The paint looks to be original and has some rust. The truck is a bit rougher than the photos show. This was my father's truck. He passed which is way I'm selling it. email: 57174f46964a3e15bc02da4d58386f40@sale.craigslist.org
  21. Is '32 the last year for this body style? I knew of them as Model A's but not later. It was revived by Jaguar in the 80's.
  22. The '59 Ford I learned to drive in had vacuum wipers. I vividly remember them stopping when I floored it to pull out and pass a truck in the rain. Just when you need them most!
  23. Good point about California weather patterns. Living here we forget it's a bid different than other areas, but I do remember my Swedish relatives being shocked to think we would not expect any rain from May and September.
