  1. I appreciate your kind offer, but I am going to pass on the books. Thank you.
  2. Sent a PM Mr Greg. Hopefully you can find a power seat track assembly that I am looking for and you are willing to sell.
  3. Probably was tired of driving around with no power steering and just got another car instead of putting money into the buick. If you do purchase the speaker grill, could you post some pictures of it. I have yet to see an original. Thank you.
  4. Probably someone who wanted the look of luxury rather than feel it. That's my best guess. Man probably couldn't afford all the options. Sending a PM...
  5. I agree. Only issue is that I pretty much have the whole system and the last two parts I need would not fit my car. Living in coastal Virginia doesn't help either. Either one of these cars would be good projects and I would be surprised if no one scooped them up. MAN...to have Jay Leno's pockets right now.
  6. Both cars seem to be Supers. Both have the name plate on the sides with the trunk ornament.
  7. Yeah, too bad they are practically west coast.
  8. Not mine. Just adding to this thread...and why not? This car is parked right next to the same car you just posted. 55 Buick Super with factory AC. This is not a junk yard. The owner of both cars is not willing to part out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1955-Buick-Other-4-DOOR-/192044164181 s-l225.webp
  9. I have seen this and I did send the guy a PM. Sounds like he wants to sell it whole. Thanks so much for looking out though.
  10. Please excuse my ignorance, but are both of these manuals applicable to 55 buicks? Mr Lamar mentioned getting ones that are 3 to 4 years below my cars year. Also, what would 50 dollars cover in this case? Both books shown...shipping? I just want to be sure we have an understanding. I really appreciate your time. Thank you Sir.
  11. Were you able to sell to someone on here, or was it eBay?
  12. So finally...I was able to do a little something on the Buick. This little something was removing the defroster duct that is mounted to the firewall. This duct is only mounted at 2 spots. The first spot is at the driver's side end of the duct where an adjustable hose clamp and L- bracket are used for mounting. I previously removed the hose clamp when removing the defroster terminals, so you are already half way done with removing the duct. The last mount is a simple screw which is accessed inside the duct through this outlet.Unscrew and finally wiggle the passenger's side end of the duct off of the flex hose. Showing the duct removed from car.Overall, an easy task.
  13. Hoping to find one like that soon.
  14. Just wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
  15. Absence makes the heart grow fonder...as another weekend passes and I cannot find the time to do one small thing with the Buick. Looking foward to next weekend.
  16. Thank you Mr Lamar. I will make a note of that. I also would like the chassis manual. Any specific recommendation for that? What edition do you have and what would you sell them for? Thank you.
  17. Is one better than the other or are these particular manuals pretty much all the same?
  18. Wanting to purchase a parts interchange book for my 55 Buick. Is this the book that I need or is there something better? Buick and GM Parts Interchange Manual 1951 1952 1953 1954 1955 1956 1957
  19. How are you Mr. Rich, just curious, but is the power antenna bezel from a 55 Buick? Thank you.
  20. Thanks for giving me advice on never letting my young sons use my buick...when it's done of course.
  21. No car work this weekend. Had to build a set of steps after getting rid of the old deck. Hope to get back to Buick oriented stuff next weekend.
  22. If I didn't have other priorities for my car, I would definitely have to take you up on this offer Mr Lamar. Good luck.
