  1. Only your first picture is good. The others have shadow and glare on them. You might consider taking photos very early in the morning when the sun is low in the sky. And you literally have to move the car to take pictures of both sides, because if for one picture the sun is at your back, and on the vehicle, then the other side will have the shadow and your picture will be taken facing the sun. So turn it around. These are my suggestion if you want to get a set of really good pictures. The ones you have are OK, but not great. I don't like the rear picture, way too much shadow.
  2. Meets every Friday evening. The attendance varies. Different cars show up every week. The Ghia looks to be restored.
  3. Funny how it has several bids, but NO comments at this point. Usually the comments outnumber the bids by far. Sep 5 at 12:51 AM $5,700 bid placed by Firedan777 Sep 4 at 4:40 PM $5,555 bid placed by marcwoodie Sep 4 at 12:47 PM $3,700 bid placed by Firedan777 Sep 4 at 10:41 AM $3,200 bid placed by Steve2394 Sep 4 at 6:29 AM $2,777 bid placed by Firedan777 Sep 4 at 12:43 AM $1,929 bid placed by marcwoodie
  4. Top one looks to have more red in it. I think, regardless of your computer, if you post them side-by-side you can compare the amount of red vs brown. Wouldn't you agree the bottom has less red to it?
  5. OP likes the brownish color originally posted, not the maroon or reddish, and I can see why. I like his original color much better too.
  6. Do you have any venue where you can take it locally, cars for sale by owner? There may be some potential buyers who are not searching online, and haven't seen your car yet. Even just a good high-traffic place to park it with a for sale sign on it might work. I have this place locally, the fairgrounds parking lot on weekends is used for "car for sale by owner."
  7. Our transmitter is in San Francisco, and I am 60 miles north. Mount Tam is in the way of line-of-sight propagation. Mount Tamalpais Peak in California Mount Tamalpais is a peak in Marin County, California, United States, often considered symbolic of Marin County. Much of Mount Tamalpais is protected within public lands such as Mount Tamalpais State Park, the Marin Municipal Water District watershed, and National Park Service land, such as Muir Woods. Wikipedia Elevation: 2,572′
  8. A little less glare in this view. http://www.streetsideclassics.com/vehicles/1939-dfw/1937-chevrolet
  9. If that's a burgundy, it's a brownish-looking burgundy to me.
  10. It's a toy for a retired, middle class, blue-collar white male. And that is a declining demographic, it goes without saying.
  11. 1949 Movie DOA (dead on Arrival) What is this convertible the actor drives up in?
  12. Yes that was a real shame. I get spotty reception. So I might be watching a show, national news or 60 minutes, for a few minutes, maybe 10, then the signal drops away. They promised us free converter boxes, but didn't disclose the propagation would be so much worse.
  13. I'd rather buy a reproduction rather than an authentic one. The real ones should be family keepsakes. This is very cheap and you can choose the size that fits you, from small to XXL GBP 26.99 Approximately US $32.56 http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANTIQUE-DISTRESSED-LEATHER-LOOK-WW2-FLYING-HELMET-BOMBER-PILOT-AVIATOR-HAT/273719927543?
  14. Did an eBay search for authentic WWII leather flying helmet and only came up with a Nazi one? For sale from Australia , Approximately US $269.08 Original WW2 German Air Force K-33 Cold Weather Flying Helmet (Luftwaffe K33 Fliegerkopfhaubewinter) in Brown Leather with Sheepskin fur lining.
  15. You purchased it in 2014? Haven't had it long then.
  16. Top of the Snake Mulholland Highway is winding and seems much more suited to lighter sports cars, not heavy "muscle" cars. It would be very easy to get into a turn too fast and find it's a tighter turn than you planned for.
  17. AAA will haul an operational vehicle that doesn't need to be towed for free?
  18. When a kid, I'd ride with my brother-in-law in his pickup, and he would hold his beer (can) between his legs while he drove. When it was empty, while driving on the freeway, he'd toss it so it would land in the pickup bed.
