Thanks for saving this thread! One of the most amazing restorations. Always loved silver and red bands. Was the dash recovered? If so - impeccable And just my opinion - the 3rd Gen. has the best floor shift/console design. Miss my '73 with (simulated) wood. Don't miss the big Federal bumpers though.

Your Copper is GORGEOUS. What color is the interior? Stay unique! Congratulations

Quote from dealer: "1967 Buick Riviera. NO RESERVE, any bid 13k or above buys car...." http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Buick-Riviera-Base-Hardtop-2-Door-/252683874291?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3ad521eff3:g:TNkAAOSw2xRYU06f&item=252683874291 I thought "no reserve" meant any offer should be considered. Like one dollar. Is it open to anyone's interpretation?

Rather, this set is more like yours. A couple hundred hog rings. This vinyl is from OPGI. Perfect match to original. Take many of photos of your disassembly. You can do it!

If you are a mechanically inclined perfectioninst, have patience and very good set of vinyl and foam/padding I highly recommend it. I was intimidated at first but found it a pleasurable experience. Saved thousands from one quote. And it looked as good as factory. Heres a Camaro I did a couple years ago. Gotta have French seams

Wine + Land Yachts = expensive hobby. Sour Mash here. Cheers!!!

1965 Cruiser $389 - Oh well it IS Christmas time - makes a great gift! http://www.ebay.com/itm/BANDAI-BATTERY-OPERATED-TIN-BUICK-HIGH-WAY-PATROL-CAR-W-ORIGINAL-BOX-WORKING/272466811624?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D38530%26meid%3D7ae1b70ec8084fdfa4b53f9b1131305f%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D371813679843 -
Indeed, my '73 only drank hi-octane. What a PITA

Kind'a difficult to hide the big box with jewelry in it...not for her.

Kudos to Dewey He overhauled my booster and hood latch perfect! http://www.boosterdeweyexchange.com/

'tis worthy to house a '63 Riv. then and now.

I concur with your assessment. The common dealer lacks command of terms. Yet, quite the beauty and the beast merged here....

Wife just reamed me a new one. I'm in the dog house for life....

I spy a Riviera. Good one.

Now that's a feat! That deck is good enough for a waxing. Impressive. How much for the dart board?

I know - I need a straight jacket!

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I finally bought possibly this last one on the planet. I got multiple re-chrome estimates ranging from $1000 - to $2000. - Such a delicate piece, running the risk getting a crack in the process. At least I have a spare or if someone needs one.
-
Black with tan-ish interior eternally classic. Cant go wrong in my opinion. I prefer a French seam as to piping. Of course, deviating from original scheme may lower your re-sale value - if you care. Good luck and share photos! BUICK SPECIAL BLACK W/ TAN TOP

I JUST LOVE THE PICTURE OF THIS BUICK...........
