  1. Check this out: http://www.hotrod.com/articles/1963-riviera-the-one-buick-didnt-build/ Like?
  2. EmTee, Got a pic' your passenger side lower front fender alignment? Thanks
  3. Absolutely gorgeous. God or Devil in these details! These make all the difference. OK heres another one. My last '67 had the "Argent" on the turn signal bezels. My latest one does NOT. Any more witness this? Thanks
  4. Love your (Jade?) interior. Rare Heres another, the hood spears. Seemingly rare with paint. I think is a great detail - gives depth. My car does not have it and I highly doubt it was polished off. Car just sat in a garage as a dust collector. AND don't we love how sellers lay out gorgeous pieces on rock filled surfaces? They REALLY care about the product.
  5. You aint lyin'! I'm no geometry wiz but jeez. What junk. Where were the Fisher engineers after the clay passed Mitchell's eyes? And remember when people dumped those overfull trays at stop lights? Nasty What a thread I created?
  6. Here's another pesky Monday night factory install throughout the GM line - crooked remote mirror controls! Arrrrrrgh!
  7. I know. I've eyeballed every fender fastener. No evidence of reverse torque imprints or washer imprint / re-alignment. The very lowers still have the undercoat spray covering them. So I'm afraid to do anything. Recommendation?
  8. INDEED! I've seen this on several 2nd Gen. cars - '66 thru '68 Right Front Fender does not align. Has anyone else witnessed this?
  9. Greetings Riviera fans Just thought I'd start a topic on factory anomalies. I've noticed all '66,'67 cars I've seen have the right rear quarter level anomaly. (See below) Please chime in with opinions and factory anomalies. Might be good Riview material? If this is a beat topic - please disregard. Thanks
  10. LMAO "plumbers tape" - Reminds me of my New York '64 Impala - the rear chassis had fist size holes. A cop pulled me over and said what kind of POS is this? In 1982!
  11. Love it! Mr. Bernie, you are the Friedrich Nietzcshe of Automobilia. (No offense intended) Look forward to your posts! Thanks
  12. Yes. I was a ROA member around '89. No internet! You think the internet helps or hurts car values?
  13. Not sure if this helps, a $20. new 61-62 Impala signal cable: http://www.impalas.com/1961-62-impalaturn-signal-cable-stainless.html
  14. Thanks Chimera! Yes NOS in. I got the P02's NOS still in boxes. Cost me an embarrassing fortune. I'll take cornering lamps with LED's to go, please
  15. Finally got some decent pics. She's never been re-painted. Lots of little scratches. Still got some detailing to do. Purists - don't mind the red-lines please. All reversible.
  16. Yes, thanks. Love this car combo. Like a Spring edition. But still no AC, that kills me. Would be crazy to install AC. Is anyone CREEPED out how this person bought the car from West Coast, had it shipped to East Coast and is selling again? Think I just vomited in my pants. I do hope this car gets a proper master ASAP.
  17. Not mine but WOW - super rare FM stereo option for sale. Fits '67. Even has the beveled "dust" bezel cups - even more rare! A $250 option in '66 = at least $1500. today. (MeasuringWorth.Com) http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Buick-Riviera-AM-FM-radio-with-factory-amp-/232187029836?hash=item360f6ce94c:g:HboAAOSwnNBXbYIn&vxp=mtr
  18. Linda Carter - still a pretty lady!
  19. And it has the rare (for '67) "tear drop" headrests. Wish I had them!

    Far from perfect

AND this '67 car has a '66 grill. All wheel well trim missing - unobtainiam. They forgot to reinstall all the cowling screws. Real pro job - probably covers the rust real well? All indicative of driver level at best. I know what it could take to get that grill correct. OUCH
  21. My low mileage '67 has driver topside. The manuals state bladeS be approx. 1.500" above moulding. (including 45-46-48-49000 series)
  22. I concur! If this (see below) giant piece of thin plastic grill is what defines a top cars' attributes today, I'd rather go without. Just my opinion. No hate here, I just don't get the current ambiance or lack there of. Perhaps people are not getting enough exposure to the arts en total? Architecture, paintings, geography, fashion, animal form, locomotion, etc. - through the arc of human experience. Heck, I'm no expert either... to each their own, ultimately. Cheers!

    Far from perfect

Perhaps the buyer viewed the car in person and realized... she wasn't all that. And it appears she got her front and rear springs mixed up.
  24. What a class act! Gorgeous! Would like to see more images.
