  1. Happy Golden Anniversary to all 1967 Buicks and their masters! As you may know, 1967 heralded more safety, reliability, efficiencies and horsepower. The Buick chieftains (Mr. Bill Mitchells' entourage) rattled the GM cage once again. Lets pay homage to them. May God bless. I'd say we can all be more proud this golden year - and onward.
  2. If you got power to clutch with AC on you should be good electrically. Do you have automatic climate control? ACC Time to get a pressure gauge on your gas.
  3. Now the Q is why the relay move: economy and/or efficiency?
  4. That's a blast from the past. Forgot all about em!
  5. WTW??? Compare the MACH1 1968 image with my 1967 image. They are exactly the same. Even the '67 wash hose hole carried over to '68 which is no longer used. Mid year change???
  6. That's a good idea. They used coffee cans as vacuum reservoirs - so why not?
  7. Thanks EmTee. Just installed NOS points. The tungsten was GONE yet the car still ran OK! I'm waiting for ACDelco plugs to come in and I'll check dwell after. (Holiday delays) About 30 rusty years since I've done this so I appreciate everyone's help. Chasing a small exhaust leak today. Dang egg nog.
  8. Three degrees at mark. 2.5' would be dead on according to manual so I guess 3 is good?
  9. A A Dremel with small cutting attachment, steady hands, safety glasses. Of course you destroy the old socket. Slowly grind it out from within the I.D.
  10. HVAC Relay ACDelco C1700C About $30. US. These fail often. Check your terminals for tightness and arcing. Old ones can melt your wiring!
  11. Are you positive its not #5452310? 5452310 will work. AIMCO reproduces this part perfectly. They are only $50. U.S. They are not painted and rust fast. Use oil resistant paint.

    Far from perfect

I understand and appreciate the intent. They don't function as well as "promised". Hence their demise. And there is nothing aesthetic about the unused lenses at stand still which dominated their life in whole. A new brighter LED might promote usefulness now? Function before beauty - not the case in original design. Just my opinion. I respect yours as well! I don't think any lives were saved to illuminate the night time turn nor impress Hollywood ladies. Dealer gimmick. $ No pun intentended
  13. Those seats are like a dream. You should be proud. Sorry you sacrificed your hand. The Buick gods should redeem.
  14. I used small bolt cutters and a cheap set of hog ring pliers. Both worked liked champs. Sure the quality of tools is random like all else.
  15. Merry Christmas all! OK Just to be certain when checking timing the vacumm advance SHOULD be blocked, right? I'm at 3' idle now (advance blocked) Thank you

You're right. I don't get the cornering lights. They're pretty useless and subtract from the bottom chrome belt line. A dealer sell point. $ Just my 2...3 cents.
  17. Indeed! I noticed those hangers too. This build should be followed by a magazine at least. Call the press! The red seats appear the same tone as those in the new Caddys, big $ option. Love it. First class.
  18. Wow - this '67 sold for 15G on EB*Y. Pretty impressive in my opinion. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Buick-Riviera-CLEAN-/222348297296?_trkparms=gh1g%3DI222348297296.N36.S2.R3.TR6&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=B3dGtfmHgwpGOmoshkmgnj2bnEQ%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Base worn upholstery, bent bumper, no air, no antenna control, crank windows, rebuilt motor, big scratch on un-original paint, Mario Cart steering wheel. Hope it went to a happy home.
  19. Just move South like I did. I've got way more spending power now. And there's no salt to kill your car - if you're not on one of the beautiful beaches, of course. (You can still drive on Daytona area beaches if you dare)
  20. I think my fee is past due. Am I to receive a paper bill in the mail? Thanks
  21. Whoa - only 10 bucks??? I paid more than that 25 years ago. Thanks - Coors might have to chase my spiked egg nog down
  22. Gents, I'm sure this is a beat to death topic but... Just wanted a quick answer to what would be the best spark plug for a stock operating '67, 430-4 please. Tuning up this holiday break Thanks much PWB
  23. Supreme resto' and monumental task. I don't know how many otherwise great cars for sale I turned down for only cracked dashes. Such a deal breaker for some. Kudos to you and Just Dashes. Would like to know who re-chromed the instrument bezel? (BTW glad you lost the Eight Ball shift)
