  1. Would like to meet any ROA / Riv' friends here in the Kingdom of the Sun! http://www.aaca.org/meetinfo Please chime in if you're going
  2. SIMPLY amazing. I fell for that sweet '69 31 G - incredible. Center consoles/floor shifts still popular. Thanks Chimera!

    Not too shabby

Sold before end of term! Congrats to the lucky bidder

Indeed, one sweet ride. If she had the floor shift and "tell tale" fiber optics I'd make the call. But then the price would be up another 4G? I had silver ascot (recollection?) with black interior. I wonder if a dealer put (in mine) those optics in? - Shoulda kept her!
  5. Earth tone haters look away... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Buick-Riviera-RIVIERA-/142275999807?forcerrptr=true&hash=item21204f783f:g:aF8AAOSwx6pYn6U-&item=142275999807
  6. Sooooo, the bag helped keep the shock cooler? Or at least maintain a more ambient temp. band thru a (drive) duty cycle? That capsule couldn't last forever.... Edit: away from electrical, meaning duty cycle as duty factor being a fixed repetitive load pattern over a given period of time. -apologies given
  7. Fascinating, this "Genetron" secret gas:
  8. gonna overheat that engine
  9. Indeed. That's my main concern. Any out gassing over such a span of time. Might be a gamble. But then I've had "new" shocks fail within 2 years. Pretty nifty shocks. My first tech school was in hydraulics/pneumatics so I'm very curious. Wish I had an internal diagram. Thanks for the detailed lesson everyone. (I just knew that title would get ya ) Paul
  10. Any opinions on NOS Pleasurizer shocks? Thanks
  11. Here she is by dash board light in her chrome regalia. I think Meatloaf would be proud.
  12. Whoa, I did not know they were different! I almost bought one. Jeez. Thanks Mr. Tom. Now I need to find out what the differences are. Ugh I miss the "fiber optic" tell tales on my '73 Riv. They were just awesome. Article on FO tell tales: http://jalopnik.com/these-tattle-tales-are-americas-weirdest-secret-car-pa-1238802149
  13. Here we have a 1967 option book depicting a shorty in a Riviera. Simply rare! These pups command high dollar. On my radar.
  14. A fine 'dame. She doesn't possess the hide-aways. Maybe that limits an audience? All the '65's are too tweaked or hurting.
  15. Theres plenty of yards here that could have them used. You may have to get one's interior re-sealed. There are businesses that do that here, and I'm sure by you as well. The ROA has contact info for member access.

  17. I would max extend all your tubes than add 6" to each for your next install dimension. You could always compress quit a bit what you don't need and leave it installed. I believe 2 and 3/4" is standard? Here's a source: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Duct-Hose-2-3-4-Cloth-1967-1980-Camaro-and-Chevelle-91-54C-/201814002239?hash=item2efd0d4a3f:m:m7Z4PGYI2UhRQjqHcAap33g&vxp=mtr
  18. And now for something more current: (The Buick Enclave, I mean)
  19. One time a good man bought me a dinner ticket after purchasing my car. And I'll never forget selling another car to a teen and hearing him screaming for joy after the deal. Pass it on. Great pic. Is that Nash in Winchester Blue? What became of that handsome car? I remember when those liberty plates issued
  20. Man, that car looks like it has good bones. She's screaming for salvation.

    My dealer promo.

    Die-cast 1:24 '66 here. uncommon - no hip-hop/chop http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Buick-Riviera-Silver-with-Brown-Interior-1-24-Scale-Diecast-Car-Anson-/272550589298?hash=item3f7547f372:g:TWwAAOSwLEtYm4tY
  22. It is indeed - but kinda lazy how they got red paint ON the 430-4 decal. I'd think a pro engine rebuild would ship pre-painted. Hmmmm Peel the onion A straight front bumper for a '68 is extremely rare now.
  23. In my first term in the USN, adjustable wrenches were "illegal" for use in aerospace maintenance. One could not be found. For good reason
  24. Whew, thank goodness. I could not find a "square tag" any where. I do have the yellow disc which should be correct for my AIR setup. I still don't get where to match these dimensions. Time to get a book. Thanks for the knowledge Mr. Jon. If you got any unique '67 tune up tricks please let me know. - I want to rebuild my carb. - the base gasket looks shot.
