Pictures of Nurses with English Vehicles during the WW 2

How about a photo of some Victorian Order of Nurses standing beside their fleet of Austins and Morris's some 20 years after the war? Craig -

Exterior paint finish had come a long way since the 1960's. Go to the autowreckers today, the paint still shines on most of those 80's and 90's cars. Craig -
Trailer security, i.e. hitch locks, etc.

When I get an enclosed trailer, I have agreed to do some free advertising on the sides and rear for one of my former customers when I was selling plumbing supplies. He owns a sewer and drain cleaning business, and a few graphic pictures of 'worst case scenarios' such as sh!t running uphill, etc., commonly seen in the plumbing trade where some have waited too long to take preventative action, along with his company name and phone number will help keep the riff-raff away!! Maybe 'Wet Paint' signs on the cars instead of ropes? Craig -

Ask the LeMay Museum why they roped it off. Craig -
Doyle, Dane & Bernbach was VW's ad agency, and won many an award for their simplistic, but very effective Beetle ads. One reason the ads were so effective is VW took that advertising agency on a guided tour of the VW factory in Wolfsburg, and made them totally familiar with the product inside and out, which was one reason the 'Lemon' ad was held in high regard in print advertising circles. Another reason is they tailored their ads according to the magazine or newspaper it was going to be published in to suit the audience as seen in the first post. The 1995 Jerry Garcia tribute ad that was in Rolling Stone was a good one. https://www.businessinsider.com/volkswagen-bus-electric-concept-microbus-photos-2017-1#on-march-8-1950-the-volkswagen-microbus-went-into-production-formerly-known-as-the-volkswagen-type-2-the-bus-would-quickly-become-a-symbol-of-americas-counterculture-movement-transporting-self-proclaimed-hippies-all-around-the-country-in-the-1960s-the-bus-was-designed-by-dutch-businessman-ben-pon-1 Craig

That is similar to the wealthy Pig Farmer who let his pigs ride in the back seat of his brand new Rolls Royce. When asked by more than a few why he'd let his dirty pigs ride in a Rolls Royce, he'd reply, 'The Pigs paid for it!!' Craig -

In the 1950's Chrysler really did sell off their Exner designed and Ghia build prototypes, and most still survive to this day. Not true for the newer ones, including prototype Vipers FCA attempted to get back solely to destroy: https://www.motortrend.com/news/chrysler-ordering-pre-production-1992-dodge-vipers-be-destroyed/ Craig -
Absolutely it was. Sales were limited to the Southeastern States, and would have been expanded to the rest of the US and Canada had sales been better. Here is one that is at the National Automobile Museum in Reno. Craig

It looks to be a real nice restoration. I won't doubt there were none made, as there were Nash tow trucks made strictly for dealers, and not for sale to the public, for example. But I can bet the seven never had whitewalls or a radio when they were in use at the factory. I'll also guess it may have been painted orange or yellow to be highly visible and identify it as a plant vehicle. Craig -

Now that is far rarer than the 600 or so 1958 (Canadian) Pontiac sedan deliveries that were made!!! Craig -
Ummmmmmm!!! I think you're right! 😲 And now that this post made look through my copy of the Sears & Roebuck Motor Buggy catalog reprint, NONE show a steering wheel, even the final 1912 Model 'P' 😱 Craig

Check online for one of these used reprints. https://www.amazon.com/1909-1912-Sears-Roebuck-Motor-Catalogue/dp/B0006W8KFO The specifications were also reprinted inside. Craig

Check their Hours of Operation in advance, before making any detours! As I found out, some museums operate reduced hours in the winter months, and don't go "full tilt" until the Memorial Day weekend. Craig
