  1. David, as F&j has said it looks like the key was left on. But it is possible that that the point arm and point contact tip or the point spring to point arm connection is faulty. with a good analog meter check between contact arm & point tip and between the ign. wire mount & contact arm. I would also use a pair of pliers to see if one of the contact points is loose. just my $.02 good luck Bob
  2. Matt, try going over the area with welders soap stone, gently wipe it off. With any luck the white powder might highlight the numbers. Bob

  12. before I have an osh$$ moment it might be best to ask first. so here goes. My daughter has a garage kept 1995 Riv. with 16k miles. The glue or mastic that GM used to seal the windshield & rear window has started to ooze out of the bottom conrners of the glass. Have been told by several auto glass co. that this is a comon problem with this year GM product and not to worry about it. I would like to know what is the best solvent to use to clean it with no damage to paint or glass seal. Also need to replace the plastic bezel that holds the passinger seat control buttons in place, any ideas where I might be able to buy one? Thanks Bob
  13. had the same problem on an internation truck the pig tail on the condenson was to short when the dist. went to full advance it would pull the wire out of the cond. and the engine would quit running, as soon as the engine quit the dist would retard and the wire went back into the cond. and start right back up. just my 2 cents. Bob
