  1. Listed my 1958 Dodge Station wagon on ebay No reserve item #113025998689
  2. My dad bought an unfinished car in the late seventies. It had a lot of new parts and a gallon of yellow paint. There was a fella across the road from us that was commissioned to finish it. He painted it and did some other work to it. My dad sold it shortly there after. I don't remember where it went but it very well could be the same car as I am in PA.
  3. And if you attach some gorilla tape to the front fender and wrap it around the hitch on your truck......... Yea that fender would straighten right out.
  4. Not concerned about functionality, more for the look.
  5. What is the proper way to install the passenger side outside rear view mirror? I just purchased one to " even the car out" and want to make sure I install it correctly. Thanks in advance for your help. Paul
  6. I recently sold a good driver quality 63. It was white with the custom black interior. Paint was shiny but had some imperfections. Chrome was driver quality with typical checking. The interior was nice and the only option was a wood steering wheel. No air or other power acc. Tires were good and the engine compartment was painted green instead of silver,. Solid body and good trunk. Car ran and drove nice. The guy I sold it to took it to Mecum in Florida and it brought $17, 600. A dealer in Michigan bought it and has it for sale. It sold at auction but someone else still thought there was money to be made. I was content with the price I sold it for which was far less than $17,600. I have since replaced it with a "nicer" red 64
  7. I Just recently sold a driver quality white 1963 and he in turn took it to the Mecum auction in Florida. It was a very solid car with "decent" paint and chrome. The passenger side wing vent chrome was highly pitted and something that always annoyed me. It had the custom black interior which was very nice and a wood steering wheel. No air and no other power options other than brakes and steering. The car was repainted at one time and there was some paint flaking in the front door jam areas. It had the wrong wheels, newer rally's, older tires, wrong color engine paint, no sun visors or seat belts. It sold for $17,600 to a dealer in Michigan who now has it advertised for sale and is trying to get a little more for it. I am happy for all involved. Just seems a little high for me for that particular car, and I owned it for 8 years. I did replace it with a nicer red 1964.
  8. I had a 1977 Buick Century I bought new and would park it in the winter in my grandfathers basement, He spent his winters in Florida. I would buy a "winter beater" and drive them. They were a 1962 LeSabre four door sedan, 1966 Chrysler four door and a 1969 Lemans four door. Three cars, three years. They all seemed to go anywhere at anytime especially when a little alcohol was added. I am much older now and drive a Chevy Avalanche and no alcohol is required or used.
  9. I think the motors should be pulled, placed in the kitchen and then detailed. Close to everything we need and the Mrs. can still find the foil and Saran Wrap. A win -win situation........
  10. Let's compare the 1st generation to a 1967 Chevelle . I think we have seen one or two at a local cruise in. I plan on parking mine next to one sometime this year. The Riviera has a two inch longer wheelbase, 117" vs 115" Overall length Riviera 208" Chevelle 197". The width of the Riviera is 76.4" and the Chevelle comes in at 75" The height of the Riviera is 53.2 Inches as the Chevelle rests at 53" I would consider the Buick as a "midsize" car. The car is heavier than the Chevelle of course.
  11. That's what I thought. I had one off of a black car and was unsure. Thank you
  12. The molding between the rear window and trunk lid. Is it painted and if so body color or black? It is chrome plated so I would think some of it would be left with the chrome showing. Thanks for the info
  13. They are selling a 1969 427 Corvette as well. I enquired about costs to sell items and I believe they told me 40%. They take care of everything. I am hopeful that large items like vehicles would be less. I did buy a display case thru them last year. I picked it up near the Pittsburgh area.
  14. Another site I wonder through at times is an on line auction called Everything But The House. They are all over the country and have numerous items for sale. While looking today I noticed a 1968 Buick Electra Convertible for sale located in Kentucky. It's dark green and looks like a decent car.
  15. The truck is powered by Buick! A good friend of mine recently retired and had some time on his hands. He has hauled cars for me before and I trust him. I will let you know when it arrives.
  16. Wow, that didn't take long. You guys are great. I made a deal with the owner and the car, 1964 Riviera, should be in my garage by Friday. Thank you.
  17. I am looking to purchase a car located in the East Lansing MI area if anyone is close. I could offer compensation for your time and travel. I am in PA and am serious about the car. I spoke with the owner and he is fine with someone looking at it for me. Thanks
  18. Getting chilly in PA and dark way to soon. I decided to start a discussion on what we have traded. Car for car or ? for car. Buick or otherwise. Two trades I can recall. 1972 Riviera for a 1972 Pontiac Lemans Sport Convertible. Riviera was a good driver but the Pontiac was a convertible. I also traded a 1969 Chevelle SS for a 1969 El Camino. Bothe orange with black stripes and vinyl tops. I remember the Chevelle being in my brothers shop on a Friday and by Monday when he returned the El Camino was in it's place. We even changed the wheels. My brother wasn't sure if he was seeing things as the car "looked" different. I 'm sure there a few trade stories out there. Some good and some not so good.
  19. Just picked up a very low mileage, limited production, two tone brown, 1978 Eldorado Biarritz and it is in need of all four bumper fillers. Looking for advice on the best ones out there. Car is very clean and original with just 9108 original miles. Thanks in advance for your help.
  20. 1949 Roadmaster two door sedanette on Pittsburgh Craigslist. Some one can link it in.
  21. Just posted on Pittsburgh craigslist. https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/d/1949-buick-roadmaster/6295094702.html Says it's a 24,000 mile original in fair shape,
  22. I have shipped larger items via greyhound in the past.
