  1. It's not far from me and I may go for an education. I am skeptical as phone bids are permitted. I'll touch base with the auctioneer and see where the items came from and why they are up for sale. When dealing with anything for sale the first questions I ask are: How long have you owned it and why are you selling it
  2. There is a 1954 Buick dealership clock advertised at auction on February 28th in beautiful Punxsutawney PA. You can go to Auctionzip.com and search auctioneer ID 13144. There are Buick and other signs available as well. Auctioneer says he accepts phone and absentee bids. His phone number is listed on the site. Just thought I would pass it along. Paul
  3. I have located one from Steve in the state of Indiana, Thank-you
  4. I was replacing my tail light housing yesterday and broke a lense and am in need of one or two if someone might have any for sale, Thanks. Paul
  5. Of those, we both owned one of them. 1955 special two door hardtop from California. I still have the old plate. The last I heard the car was somewhere in the Dayton PA area.
  6. Woke up this morning with about three inches of fresh snow, no Buicks rides for awhile. I did have time to reflect and figure out how many Buicks I have owned so far. I keep track of all my car purchases for some reason or no reason. I have owned 38 different Buicks thus far, I currently have 4. Of those 38 I have driven on the road, fully licensed and insured, 16 different ones. I have bought with the intention of reselling 15 and parted out 7. My very first car for road use was a 1963 Riviera. The oldest one I ever owned was a 1932 and the newest is a 1993 Roadmaster which I still drive on occasion. Paul
  7. Ben, We are only here to help. He sent me several pictures and I am sure would do the same for you
  8. John, The car has the dynaflow. His first response to me was ( according to his research) #1 car would be 25K, subtract for paint $3500, $3500 Chrome, $1,000 tires, $5,000 for interior and $5,000 for motor and tranny rebuild, for an asking price of $7,000. He sent me several pictures and the interior looks like it would clean up, body looks very solid and paint looks original. Has the old wide whites. If He said the top was replaced when the car was purchased in 1975, put down and never raised since as the hydro's are bad
  9. Just off the phone with the owners son, They would let the car go for $6500. It was parked in 1986 when the master cylinder went. The windows and top are not working, front floor pan on the drivers side needs repaired, not sure of passenger side. Car is in New Orleans and spent some of it's life in Oklahoma. I am not interested in it at this time but it seems like a decent buy for someone. Paul
  10. I am in communication with the owner and will see where it leads us.
  11. With special thanks to Jason Z I had one shipped to a new owner in Denmark. An ad was posted not long ago on this website and not sent directly to me. The guy that bought it did not speak or read English and worked thru a friend that belonged to the Buick club in Denmark.
  12. The rear spoiler and stainless roof band were for the PCR's only. The car could be ordered with or with out bucket seats, with or with out T-tops.
  13. Bernie, keep that information to yourself before everyone realizes how good these cars are. I purchased a 1993 sedan a year and half ago for my son to learn to drive. It gets 18+ miles to the gallon and more on a trip. When I drive it people tend to get out of my way as they think an old man is driving it, wait I am getting to be an old man.
  14. I had one in "very poor" condition I used for parts to convert my 76 Regal S/R into a look a like. So I know of at least one that did not survive. There were no specific VIN numbers to determine a Pace Car Replica from a Century. I ended up selling my car to a gentleman in California and he has since sold it. I don't know where it ended up. In hindsight I should have kept the Regal S/R a Regal S/R as I never see those up for sale.
  15. James, The unit is in the glove box but the trunk lock was taken out of the car and was laying on the back seat. The canister portion is missing. Paul
  16. Motor and transmission are now out and I got a better look at the car yesterday as it is not at my house. Pete, no jack and the map light is broken. There is no battery in it but if someone is still interested in the power window set up I can see if they work. Drivers fender is bent and currently of the car. Trunk release set up is still in the glove box and I don't know what to look for in the trunk to see if it is complete.
  17. Front bumper is tweaked and I would not recommend for a re core. Grille is pretty rusty. Pete I will check the map light and socket. Radiator was holding fluid and I will look it over when it is out. Jack stuff, I will look. John I know drivers side window works, I will check other switches. Drive train is going in my black 63 Riviera.
  18. I picked up a 1963 Electra four door hardtop for the drivetrain and have no use for what's left. Anyone need anything? Front and rear trim is bad and there may not be anything of use to anyone but I thought I would put it out there. Does have power windows, power seat and trunk release. I can't post a price as I don't know what someone wants but prices would be very reasonable.
  19. I recently picked up a 1972 Riviera and it is missing it's fuel gauge. Previous owner took it out because "it" wasn't working. He traded it and another car for a new Toyota and I have no way of contacting him do to privacy issues at the Toyota dealership. Let me know if you have one available or where I can get one. Thanks, Paul
  20. Going over the 63 that has been siting for a long time and there is a tapping noise in the motor. Mechanic changed fluids and took off valve covers, nothing appears out of place or odd. Put valve covers back on, let her run for twenty minutes and the "noise moved". Car starts easily and no smoke but still a little noisy. Thoughts?
  21. I picked thru my turbine wheel covers to pick the better ones for the black 63 and there is a difference. The ones on the car have mounting studs that are shorter than the extra ones I have in storage. I did not know there was a difference. Some have 1 1/2- 1 9/16 studs and the others are 1 3/4. The extra ones stick out from the rim and don't look right. The black 63 is an early model and still retains the left handed wheel studs on the drivers side. I informed my tire guy before hand and he sorta looked at me funny.
