  1. Well with 54 Buicks and guys like Derek and I, you will get an open biased opinion, but hopefully we can offer some helpful info as well. The 54 Special is a very simple car to work on. It has the "Million Dollar Ride" with all coil suspension, kingpins in the front and plenty of go with its V8. The transmission choices are either a syncromesh manual or the legendary Dynaflow automatic transferring power to the rear via a torque tube. It is a 12 volt car and can come with many options. It sure is the "Beautiful Buy" Let me have a Buick Salesman take you through all the features: <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cW168-4Amqs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Would I suggest a 1954 Buick....hell yes
  2. Just be careful and vote once per day from each machine... Votes are recorded by IP in these things so cookie crunching can lead to unforeseen/unintended results. ....just saying
  3. How about a Buick pep song to rally the fans! <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/N5kEpsXtYKo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

  8. Who doesn't know the year of their Antique Car...let alone a 55-56-57 Chevy? Yea sure does looks like SPAM to me to up the hit count. YouTube does pay for hits on original content BTW I recall saying this already in this thread.....yea, I used a picture to make my point but dam guys it was a way to be emphatic no need for the delete button! Oh well....back to where I belong.

  13. I will never forget the smell of my garage the morning after I parked my new Buick inside. Thanks old48truck for coining the "smellmember", I will always use that now when I try to describe those first days I had my Buick. Its apart now, carpet thrown away and seats in storage...I miss that smell of history but I will always smellmember it.
  14. That auxiliary vac pump on the 54's was for the power brakes during an engine stall at speed. No Vacuum=No Brakes! They only ran when the ignition was on but the engine was not so I doubt full time duty would be ideal as that would wear them out quick. Also they are a little dear as it pertains to cost There were two models, Trico and Morvac.
  15. Sorry if I'm late to the party on this but I thought that this was pretty weird. <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/IRlC0RVOgnA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Anybody ever see one of these?
  16. Now 91 Use the http://rides.eastwood.com/car_of_the_month/CurrentProjects.php link MrEarl provided and hit the thumbs up.
  17. Well truth be told your project is deserving regardless of its Buickful status...it's just easy to get on the Team Buick bandwagon.
