lancemb
Hi is there any fee for the general public?
TxBuicks
There is no fee for the general public to come and see the Buicks and shop the vendors. The best day for seeing the cars is Saturday when they are all lined up for judging. The vendors usually start shutting down Saturday afternoon so if you are looking for parts you will be better to visit them on Friday or before. If you want to go on any of the organized events or go to the hospitality room then you must register.
Guest Cz10
Are the vendors and the show at the hotel???
TxBuicks
Yes, the outdoor vendors and the judging on Saturday will be in the hotel parking lots. The indoor vendors are in the Red Lion as well.
Guest Cz10
Thanks - I got most my answers in another thread in a different section. That works perfectly. We arrive Wednesday eve, visit the vendors, etc on Thurs. My wife and I do some site seeing on Fri, go to the car show on Sat - hopefully I will have been able to get the car ready in time so I can put it in display only. I'll have to leave about 1:30 - 2 to get to the wedding in time, but I think it can all work out and I will be able to attend my first National meet as a newly minted Buick owner plus accomplish the primary mission of the trip, my nieces wedding.Registration form filled out and in the mail! Guest Ric's62
What sort of attire is the norm at the Sat night banquet? Sport coats? Jeans? Thx. Rick

Thriller
It varies. Some folks put on their Sunday best. Others are more casual. It would be nice to be a bit nicer, but some years it has been long enough that you want to be comfortable.

southpaw52
ok a couple questions from the newbie....is there a way to find out what time the judging for the different classes will be? and, I have some wheels I pulled off my Buick that I would be interested in making available for sale. What is the appropriate way to do that without becoming a "vendor"? Thanks,Anne
TxBuicks
All judging is on Saturday from 9:00 - 3:00. That's the best time to see the Buicks, as they will be parked according to class. Without registering as a vendor the best bet is to post a note on the bulletin board.
southpaw52
Thanks. I'm hoping to narrow down the timing a bit if possible. I'm entered for my 56 Buick Special and now have been called on to work Saturday. Hubby will be there with the car, but I was hoping to get there when judging of the "drivables" was happening. Any way to get me a smaller timeframe? Thanks.
Guest Cz10
Well, we made it, the Buick didn't. No seatbelts... Hope to figure that out while I'm here. Timing things to coincide with the Forum Breakf....unch, so my wife Saralynn, Augie Doggie and I took a drive out Hwy 30 & 84 to see the gorge, had a picnic watching some hot dog kite surfers in Hood River. Went across the river over the Bridge of the Gods to swing by the event and check in. See y'all tomorrow.
