Disco
Hello everyone, I am hoping someone has an idea on what these Chassis may be, I am thinking race track around 1915. One is a very small wheelbase similar to a track car the second has the same layout but is much larger. Not my vehicles but if its significant id try help save it from the scrapyard. Mark Wetherbee
The humped forward frame reminds me of an Overland, but I am not familiar enough to say with any certainty…

Disco
Thanks Mark and Layden, I will pass that information on. Here is the original sale post. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/401702563021175/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A5a445e27-c66c-45a5-a70b-5cbdbee04235 Thanks again
bob staehle
That engine does not go with that frame. I don’t think any of the tri-plex spring Overlands had primer cups.
wayne sheldon
The chassis mounting brackets on the back of the engine are for a wider frame. So the engine was most likely out of a larger car. But I do not recognize the maker at this point, although I know I have seen that exhaust manifold on something before?
Oz Dodge 4
I "think" I have seen something like that, but it must have been nearly 50 years ago! If I remember rightly, it was a "Maxwell"! I aren't real sure, I only saw it once and as most of you know (or will soon find out) memory can get a bit twisted with age!!!
DFeeney
I would be surprised if Maxwell used a front timing case as shown. It appears a generator or water pump was driven off the front case.
Stude17
The engine in the shortened chassis is definately not the correct engine. The correct engine for these Overland's can be seen to the right of the shortened chassis in the full length chassis (first photo).
Stude17
The unknown engine looks like earlier Overland engine circa 1916/1917. Edited August 22 by Stude17 (see edit history)
