drwatson
Not something seen often; I'd like to ID make, year & model for this NOS carpet set. A typical layout for the 1920's. Also, what do you suppose the opening is for by the drivers heels? Thank you for any help.
keiser31
The slotted hole near the bottom of the piece looks to be for an exhaust cutout pedal. I think the one in my 1929 Chrysler was located there. keiser31
Center hole is probably for the shift tower and the slotted hole next to it for the hand brake.
keiser31
Uppermost hole may be for the starter pedal. The one to the left and below maybe for the gas pedal rod.
TerryB
Maybe the 1”x2” hole is for a Bijur lube setup and that’s where the pedal to operate it was located. Just a guess of course.
Dave Wells
Maybe the 1”x 2” hole is for an accessory to the mother-in-law seat found in early cars. Just a guess of course.
Mark Gregush
I was thinking the hole next to the gas pedal would be for the foot rest. Many cars of that era had them.
tcslr
The opening by the drivers heel in front of the seat is likely the fumer button.
