Surf Green is a rarely seen color on a Ninety Eight though I'm sure they were common when new.

Helen Jones Earley was one of the most gracious people I've ever known. A true ambassador for Oldsmobile. She truly loved her job, her company, and the cars it built. I miss her.

I remember when my Aunt Rene met her at the 1995 OCA National Meet in North  Carolina. They hit it off famously especially when Rene told her our family were "Oldsmobile people". Helen just beamed.

3 weeks after that meet I got the call that Dennis Casteele had died of kidney failure.

I dig this car, honest looking, I think the perception of its aesthetics will only grow as the decades go forward.

Now Relisted at $11,000 firm? Was later corrected by original poster (OP), and is still $22,500CA

I don't find this.

I wonder, is that the $11,000 CA, or US?

If that is a Canadian dollar price , dropping by half would be only $8,250 US, and sounds too low but an exceptional deal-

wish I could have it, but no room at the inn.

I am confused (as usual). Is it miles or km?? Are both these statements from the seller?

Seller posted the original Facebook ad in Canadian dollars and kilometers.

Conversion to US dollars and miles were calculated and inserted into the ad by me when I posted the ad to the Not Mine Forum.

You can view the original Facebook ad without edits for US metrics by clicking on the above link.

Hope this helps!

Very pretty car, probably more rare than the Starfires. If the price is really $11,000 that will move quickly. Just don't drive it anywhere with those terrible tires!

Text stating that the car was relisted at $11,000 was incorrect and represented a typing error. It has been removed.

The correct price of the car is C$22,500 (approximately $16,875 US).

I apologize for any confusion.

IMG_9910.jpeg.7216b1aef007034f079201b92ad82240.jpegIt appears that this “original car” has had the interior re-done incorrectly.

The patterned cloth on the seats and door cards is a reasonable approximation of the original, but the vinyl trim, tufted panels, and chrome buttons at the top of the seat backs is missing.

H/T to 1962oldsmobile.com for the catalog pics.
