Leif in Calif
Big project...could be speedster material... (more pics in ad) https://salem.craigslist.org/cto/d/salem-1927-reo-flying-cloud/7673132614.html 1927 REO Flying Cloud -Brougham The chassis, engine, and drive train have been gone through and rebuilt fully. The car runs and drives great. It has a restored fuel vacuum pump, and a new starter, and exhaust. The wood steering wheel and wood spokes wheels have been fully restored as well, with 3 inch white wall tires including the spare.. It is in fully driving condition. The engine runs smooth and is run regularly. This is a large 249 in.³ straight six, having deep throated cylinders makes it sound great. The transmission is a strong easy shifting three speed. It’s ready to have the body restored. The body’s been disassembled in the process of restoring. The body parts all are together currently being stored in a cargo trailer. There is very minimal rust in a few areas otherwise it is in great condition for restoring. It has all the gages, window glass, and headlights etc. The original project was taken on by a man who has since passed away un-expectantly; he spent many years with his wife searching down parts for the restoration. I purchased the car 6 to 7 years ago from the wife and since then had it gone through fluids etc., the limiting factor to getting it fully running condition was the vacuum fuel pump. This was sent back to a guy in New York to be restored. After receiving back we installed and the car was ready to run. As I am older myself, I reluctantly realize, I should pass this project and great feeling on. The chassis is ready to go for this car to be assembled and complete this historic 1927 Flying Cloud Brougham restoration. This was the first car with hydraulic brakes produced by Ransom E. Olds (REO). Having the stopping power, he was able to put a larger engine and stronger drivetrain for speed. This car is part of the National Rio Club registry. The Brougham addition was a two door front bucket seats with the back bench seat design. email: 165602c9e5b2322c9c1af04ede3f4cce@sale.craigslist.org

Fossil
For what all has been done to the drivetrain the price doesn't seem all that bad.

Leif in Calif
You would think someone could see that much value in it, just for parts.
