J.H.Boland
In the 45 years that I've owned my '78 GMC Caballero Laredo, I've only encountered one other the same color, and that was about 42 years ago. One rainy day recently while surfing the net, I came across my Caballero , albeit shrunk to 1/64 scale. It's the same year, color, model, and has the matching painted cap. Of course, now I have one.
TerryB
Is it a Greenlight? That is a great match to yours. I went a little nuts a few months ago and bought several of the muscle cars I thought were great in the day but I could not afford when they came out. In 1/64 scale, no problem with prices!

Yes, it's a Greenlight "Blue Collar" model.
Barney Eaton
car models are so much easier to collect and maintain than real cars, and you don't need a big garage. Edited May 14, 2023 by Barney Eaton (see edit history) 1
Jim Skelly
Monogram made a 1978 El Camino kit in 1/24th scale, so that's very close to what you have. MPC made a 1980 Caballero kit in 1/25th scale, the only Caballero that I'm aware of.

TerryB
The low price of 1/64 can encourage you to buy a little extra as I did here. A local dealer in farm and other toys like Greenlight moved to about 1 mile from my house so….

Barney Eaton
Just found a tractor for a car hauler I got in a package deal. Somehow the scale is off.... they are both the same width but the hauler seems larger than the tractor. I had to make a hitch adaptor because the top level of the hauler was hitting the back of the sleeper. Now I just need to fill it with cars.
TerryB
What scale is the hauler? Hot wheels, Dinky or Tootsie toy or? Nice setup.
Barney Eaton
The hauler is Majorette brand from France 1/60
Paul Dobbin
That's a cool find. I looked for long time and found many of my cars in 1/18 Scale. Never saw one of my 81 El Camino Conquista even though its in the centerfold of the original sale Brouchure,
TerryB
Greenlight has a 1880 SS in 1/64 that is close to your car but not an exact match. You car sure looks great.
