drhach
Thanks for the great pictures. There are times I miss living in the Portland area. Not many, but some.
keiser31
My take on the swap meet....the eagle and nest were about a mile or two away, but with my 40x zoom little camera, it looked VERY close. The folks next to our space went around to get $200.00 or less in parts to make a running trike. HILARIOUS watching them getting it running! Beautiful sunsets and a nice fire. Was glad I got to meet Oregon Desert and a few other forum friends while there. Sorry I did not get more car/truck/parts shots, but I did not venture very far from our space as every ten minutes the weather would change and I wasn't really searching for any 1931 Dodge Brothers parts this time. We went from nice to rain to nice to hail to nice to raging wind. The 1935 Nash had me going for a bit until I realized what it was. The 1933 Plymouth grille fooled me for about 2 seconds. We all stood back when the tow truck driver put the hook on the motor home tow ball to pull the whole two rigs out of the mud. I hung the skunk pennant on Dave's golf cart that had a grill with food on it. He was a few spaces away and provided grilled food all weekend. All of the home made golf carts were a real treat to see. I got rid of a lot of bulky parts and will have more room in my garage. All in all it was a blast hanging out with Jack M and his pals Craig, Doug, Dave and Andy. Huge thanks to Jack for providing a place for me to hang out. I will DEFINITELY go back to hang with those guys again! Edited April 6, 2023 by keiser31 (see edit history) 4

Buffalowed Bill
Thanks so much for posting. It's been some time since I was last there. I considered making the trek, one last time. Then I looked at the weather forecast then looked outside and remembered what it could be like I said no thanks! I miss the adventure and seeing old friends, but there are limits to what I want to put this old body through. The reginal Pierce Arrow Society used to get together at George Choban's Greek restaurant on Saturday evening during the swap. When the club chose not to continue with the dinner some of the weekend's charm disappeared. I last saw George at Forest Grove Concours just before the pandemic. What a fine gentleman, who had some great cars. Sadly I just googled George and found that he had passed away in 2022. Thanks again!
