BlueDevil
Can anyone tell me if a '28 Model 72 and a 29' Model 75 have the same vacuum tank?
Narve N
Probably the same tank, anyhow most versions of vacuum tank will work on your car. I have run my Series 65s with three different tanks, including the OEM Stewart-Warner tank.
Layden B
This works for the 1928 but I have no info on the "newer model".
leomara
For what it's worth, the Stewart Warner Vacuum Tank that came with my 1928 Model 72 is 216-U.
leomara
And while we are on this topic someone sent me this photo and said the thread size is 1/8 NPT. I don't know but that seems small. I would think 1/4 NPT is more like it. Edited January 27, 2023 by leomara (see edit history)
Layden B
216-U Supplied as standard equipment on: 1926-7 Buick Master 6 Would not surprise me if it was either original equipment or replacement.
stakeside
This tank used on my 29 DB truck. Larger capacity required for this 6 cylinder engine. 216AF Edited January 27, 2023 by stakeside E (see edit history)
old car fan
Tops are basically the same,#s do not mean much. Most the time, not ledgable. Should be more concerned with tank details.
lozrocks
1928 saw the introduction of the Kingston Vacuum Tanks to the Chrysler line up. I think Dodge retained the Stewart Warner whilst Chrysler, Desoto and Plymouth used the Kingston.

The 75 should have the Kingston tank.
Narve N
3x of my Series 65 and the 1x Series 75 all had #216 style Stewart-Warner tanks, but I have also had one Series 65 with a smaller diameter Stewart-Warner and one Kingston. I will use whatever pumps fuel and does not leak.. Edited February 10, 2023 by Narve N (see edit history)
