Frank DuVal
Buster Keaton was a true genius, learned the camera inside and out, did his stunts himself.👍

John_S_in_Penna
Very good movie, and thank you for sharing it. Notice how few word-panels were used in this silent film. Buster Keaton took pride in telling the story through action, not through words. This was in distinct contrast to the typical silent movie.

And many of those stunts were daring, and even dangerous. There weren't "special effects" in his films--he was doing all those dangerous things himself, and for real. Here is a brief video that shows some more examples:
Jim Skelly
Harold Lloyd was another comic genius.
dibarlaw
Great chase scene in Keaton's "Sherlock Jr". 1924. The Youtube version starts at 39 min. with the apearance on a New 1924 Buick Model 45 Touring car chased by a Cunningham. The gag is centered around this.... The new 1924 Buick and the Cunningham would be interesting to see.
Flivverking
t In my pre teens in the late 1960s I was a bit of a raconteur of the silent movies being from a show biz family. I ran copies of this on 16 and 35 MM original copy stock film from "Black hawk 'and "Castle Films" on crank projectors from relatives attics...for 25 cents a showing, with player piano accompaniment by my sister. What a throw back!. Buster( my favorite ,then Harold Lloyd then Chaplin )He wrecks the Pierce from pulling the motor out if his pet project Model T. I recall.it was not a Keaton made or Produced film. Earlier? .
