Grimy
Couldn't they have waited until the rollback pulled away before taking the photo at the curb?

SO desperate to sell, they couldn't wait! Definitely a modern engine with the alternator and A/C. Does anyone recognize the engine? The valve cover will certainly offer a clue... suchan
I didn't know anyone still made 4 door convertibles in 1947. Definitely need the side view mirrors.

Factory did not. I think Derham did a couple Packards and a Chrysler. This car is a sedan that met a Sawzall. Workmanship is better than the ad's English.
Matt Harwood
I find the interior to be the least objectionable part of the whole thing. Engine appears to be a Ford small block, probably a 302 or a 351. Edited November 3, 2022 by Matt Harwood (see edit history)
Gearheadengineer
I think it’s still a sedan. Rear seat pic shows a clue. Maybe a heavily padded faux ragtop. Basically a subdued street rod. Somebody spent a lot of time and money on this car to make it fit their vision. Hopefully someone else values it too.
kbeach
Looks like it also has an automatic transmission. Don't believe Lincoln had that as an option in 1947.
Den41Buick
I would have left it by the curb in hopes it would have been stolen.
