I wonder whether the white or off-white paint was offered by Cadillac in 1948, also. Someone can tell us more.
suchan
Cadillac had a beige in '48, but no white/cream. Interior looks similar to original. Needs a good cleaning, though.
Oldsfan
That interior was available in Gray Bedford Cord and Blue Plain Broadcloth (trim #41). The paint could be #10 French Gray.
B Jake Moran
White paint is a huge turn off on a 1940s car. (For me). Interior looks like correct pattern but modern cloth.
Steve_Mack_CT
When I was 8 or 9 years old, 71, 72, teenager a few houses up had a black 48, I remember the chrome on it was perfect. No one was allowed to touch it. Somewhere between used car and collectible I guess then, but nothing else in our neighborhood was that old or cool.

When I was 6 or 7, and this car was about 10 years old, my piano teacher "Mrs. Weber" also had a black one. It (and she) were in poor condition. I remember as I struggled through my lesson she'd cough a little and then take out her cough medicine, which she oddly kept in a small Jack Daniels bottle.

My last name is Weber as well and one thing we Weber's are known for is our love for alcohol.
