John_S_in_Penna
Thank you once again for the update, Fin Seeker, enabling us to keep track of the market. It's clear that this respectable car, needing a little work, sold for $10,000 or under.

6T-FinSeeker
On 5/4/23: For sale on Craigslist: 1955 Packard 400 2-door Hardtop in Houston, TX - $17,000 - Call: 713 494 35 seven two On 5/30, Seller reduced price to $16,500 Link: https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d/houston-1955-packard-400-coupe-all/7617712371.html Seller's Description: 1955 Packard 400 2-door Hardtop - All Factory Original and Loaded!!! condition: good cylinders: 8 cylinders transmission: automatic odometer: 55,400 paint color: blue title status: clean If you don’t know anything about Packard, I suggest researching them. They were the competitors to Cadillac and Lincoln’s of the 1950’s and cost about $1,500 less brand new!!! They were built to compete with these luxury automobile makers. Top of the line brands!!! 55,300 miles. Fully loaded, with all factory power options. Paint has some issues but shines real nicely with a good buff and wax; good upholstery and headliner, and chrome that needs a good polishing to shine. Needs minor electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic work. Not a show car by any means but I get compliments on it everywhere I go! Clear Texas title White wall tires, factory wheels. Factory loaded with all options including air ride suspension option that still works!!! 8 cylinder engine with automatic transmission. At auction, these cars in this condition sell for $18,0000 and up. The only 2 available on the internet currently are a 1955 listed for $14,000 without power options and not in the same condition as this one and a 1956 for $15,000 without power factory options. I feel this is a fair price. Don't bother low balling me because I know what it's worth and don't need to sell. THIS IS A VERY RARE CAR! Price is $17,000 CASH or May barter for 5th wheel or bumper pull or toy hauler, worth a minimum of $20,000 and must be no less than 38’ ft in length and no older than 2017 with no issues and clear title. Firm on price and barter. Edited May 31, 2023 by 6T-FinSeeker update price (see edit history)
bryankazmer
What an informative ad. Torsion-air was not an option. And this car does not have all factory options. Seller might take his own advice about "researching them." 1

Mine had been rewired so that I could change the rake of the car from the dash. I picked up a young hitch hiker once and had the rear all jacked up. When I pulled away I dropped the rear and lifted the front. Thay poor kid thought we were going to fly.
bryankazmer
When I see the odd tilt, it generally means that the torsion leveling is not working right 1

kingrudy
Really surprised that it took this long for this car to sell. Great looking car with very nice interior that would take consider dollars to replace. Good luck with your "new" car.
