Guest
There's a pretty decent thread on the Riker truck here:
1937hd45
THANK YOU! That WWI Riker history is great, never knew they built anything like that. Bob
hddennis
Little known fact that Maxwell built copies of Renault tanks in secret as well as artillery tractors. When the war ended early Maxwell got burned when the government walked on the order for tanks which Maxwell had already ordered all the materials for. No doubt this reflected poorly on Maxwell's bottom line from then on. Howard Dennis

I grew up near to where Conrad was located in NEPA- interesting how CA would buy cars from a PA dealer! A Buick truck does not have the rods on the outside of the frame and the hub caps are not correct. The fenders, especially the front ones are not correct. Also, the Buick truck is a dual chain drive and the one in the picture does not appear to be. I do not see the sprocket gear that should be right in front of the rear tire. Also, I believe there should be a step behind the front fender and I do not see one. Just my thoughts. Could it be his step to get in or an early black holding tank. Ha,Ha,Ha
