What is Invision Community 4??

Suddenly this morning I get the following message when I change pages on the forum...

Before we can begin, please rename conf_global.dist.php to conf_global.php in /var/www/html/106136 and ensure it is writable (usually CHMOD 0777).

Is this required for the Forums now? - or has something changed?

I don't want to install unless an Admin on this site says it is safe

I get it too on my 7 yr old iPad but not on my 3 yr old iPad that is running a newer version of Apple software.  I assume it’s some type of compatibility issue.

This was reported by another member. Try restarting your device and see if it corrects the problem.

BTW, Invision Community 4 is the software used to run this forum.

 

I checked with the software developer and they said there was a glitch earlier that caused the message to appear randomly. They said it should be cleared up now. If you still experience this problem you may need to restart your device and/or clear your browser cache to correct the problem.

Being a computer user since 1974 I just ignore most of the stuff I see.

 

The RJ45 plug is an arms length away if it looks real bad. Yank that and give it a hard boot.

I got that same message this morning also. I closed my browser, restarted, and have not seen it again.
