1913Mercer
Thanks for your help - this is from Battling Butler - (a) 1926 (Buster Keaton) movie.
Guest
Beautiful car! IMCDB seems to think it's a Springfield Ghost and that the disc wheels are unusual for this year. Slim chance, but it would be great if it were still out there somewhere.
JV Puleo
It is a Silver Ghost but it's quite a bit earlier...note the auxiliary oil tank on the side of the frame, inside the spare tire. I think this is a pre-WWI British Ghost that was rebodied about 1920-22. I'm not sure when that tank was dropped but it was gone before the Springfield cars. I don't believe Springfield ever used demountable rims either. Edited August 5, 2021 by JV Puleo (see edit history)
wayne sheldon
That is one Buster Keeton film I have not seen! I have seen most of the silent ones that still survive. It is on my mental list to try to see it. Interesting Rolls Royce!
edinmass
Too early and much too small to be a Springfield car.

nzcarnerd
There are some more photos on the imcdb page from 2016. I see I noted I thought it might be a Springfield Ghost. Note there is one shot of what looks like the same car on wire wheels. The close up shots might provide clues.
