Dodgedude37
I know it is probably circa 1930's I would like to narrow down the years & make. What should I look for? Thinking of trying to find it a new home where someone can get some use out of it, if for no other reason than a spare tire. I

sagefinds
On the face it does look like 8.00 x 16 but in your lower picture of the other side it looks like 6.00 x 16 which is probably correct. The tire is too small to be 8.00 by 16. it looks like the hole pattern is 5 on 5 1/2,maybe it's just a '35 Ford wheel.
oldford
It certainly looks like a 16 inch Ford wheel, just like the ones on my car. No, don't need a spare, but should be easy to sell, if you don't want a fortune... Frank
nzcarnerd
A popular swap for Model As in this part of the world, particularly if they are being used a lot on gravel roads. Also modern tyres are cheap. A photo from a few weeks ago.
Bloo
Modern tires aren't cheap for those wheels in this part of the world (USA). Narrow 16s were always expensive here, but no longer produced by anyone except the antique suppliers. That wheel swap was popular in the USA during WW2, as tires were almost impossible to get but 600-16 tires for those wheels were easier to get than Model A tires. I have heard the rumors of narrow 16s showing up cheaply on Craigslist or similar sites in NZ and AUS, having been used on Toyota Hilux(?) or something similar in those countries. Color me green, with envy.
