Oregon Desert model 45
NOT MINE https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/cto/d/saint-john-1938-buick-fastback-38/7270326391.html 1938 Buick fastback (38 special) - $12,500 (Dyer) 1938 Buick special rare fastback 2 door straight 8 cyl mostly original car runs drives and stops. The buick was stored inside garage and not been driven from 1974 until 2017 . I bought to build a hot rod and decided not to cut it up and destroy the originality of history. The car is very solid has aftermarket seat covers from the 50s over original mohair covers to preserve material. The car could make for easy restore or drive as is. Asking $12500 no trades no low ballers or tire kickers.

B Jake Moran
Why do people buy these cars to make hot rods? Modern hot rods are no different than restoring a car, same costs maybe more.
suchan
A rare body style, but no one's going to touch it for anywhere near $12.5K. It needs everything. If it was a 4 door, it's a $5000 car, tops.
deac
This is not the full size sedan 'slant back' (model 47?), it's a 2 door sedan Special and it needs work. The price is very aggressive. I saw a '37 Century 2 door sedan in better shape for approximately 16 grand!
SBRMD
Engine seems like a later one. Texting with seller.
SBRMD
Seller sent me the following pictures. Engine number seems to be appropriate for a '38 Special.
