1956 Buick Special Wagon $22,000 Endicott NY

I don't know if this is any kind of deal but boy it looks very clean with gleaming chrome for the price.  Can't be alot of Buick wagons from 56 still around.

Great running car. Radio, heater, not hooked up. Starts, drives, handles just like they did in 1956. Interior is original. In good shape for age. Unsure of milage

Nice but at $22k it better be a strong #2 car. I want the owner to fix the heater and radio for that price.

I only posted because I can't recall the last time I have seen a Buick wagon or for that matter  most any other makes (excluding maybe a Chevy) in this price range that looked as good.  I have seen them 10-15G. but they look nothing like this and there have only been a few in the last couple of years.  That was why I stated I didn't know if it was any kind of a bargain just an unusual find at what didn't seem like unreasonable money.

 

Anyone follow these?  What's your take on prices and availability.

You'd want to see the interior. "In good shape for age" can mean a lot of things.  I think the asking price is in the ballpark. The Old Cars guide says $22K is #2 money, but I take that with a grain of salt. Nice old wagons are about as scarce, and about as desirable, as nice old pickup trucks.

If all it needs is a radio and heater to be hooked up, that is an easy fix. You don't see too many Buick wagons from the mid Fifties. I think it is a fair price.

When I see heater needs hooked up I figure it needs a core.

As we know some of those are much more difficult than others.
