Jolly_John
Hi, Gang. I just came upon two mystery splash pans among my old Dodge goodies I haven't looked at in nearly 15 years? They had been previously neatly wrapped in protective material.....obviously by me. I'm thinking these two splash pans are either from the 1935 DODGE, KC half-ton pick-up I owned back in the day.....or the 1937 D5 business coupe I also owned at the time. What "scares" me is that I obviously restored both of these pans back in the day. They are super straight, rust-free, and sporting very nice black paint. I'd appreciate any help in identifying these two splash pans. Thanks in advance! John
Scott Bonesteel
Wouldn't know about the '37 D5, but I have a late '34-early '35 KCL and the splash pans are basically flat and look nothing like these.

multiscepter
John, Hopefully this bit of information is of use, from my '37 D5 Sedan. I don't know if this is original or if the Coupe and the Sedan are similar. John M.
Jolly_John
And, thank you, John M. I'm beginning to wonder if these two pans perhaps are from one of my other old car projects years ago. I can't imagine why I wouldn't have installed them at the time, however. After all, they are straight, painted, and ready to bolt on. I'll keep thinking about these....darn, I was sure they were from one of my Dodges years back. John K.
Ron Lawson
The one on that 37 appears to have been cut and bent down
30DodgePanel
Silly question... Is it possible that this is a radiator support and the notch is a cutout for hood latch ? Just taking a gamble to see if it rings a bell for you..
Jolly_John
Thanks for the idea 30DodgePanel. I don't think I would have left the radiator support off of one of my projects. The splash apron....maybe, but not the radiator support! But, I do thank you for taking the time to contribute. John
Torry Johnson
There is nothing like this on my 1932 Dodge. Torry Johnson
zuodar
sorry but the splash pans are not from a 1937 dodge D-5 . I have all three on my 37 but they do not look like these at all.
Jolly_John
Thank you for the input, Torry and zuodar. I appreciate you both taking the time to help. With some help over on the Dodge Trucks forum, we're thinking the first part pictured above is a radiator splash apron (or shield) for a 1935 Dodge KCL 1/2 ton pick-up.
