Last night I watched "The Big Steal" 1949 film noir presentation for the second time. Those of us who enjoy these films do it for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the vintage vehicles, but you guys know this as well as I do. I was taken by the early 30's convertible that Robert Mitchum and Jane Greer chased around in. I thought that I knew what it was, but my attempts to verify fell flat. the trailer doesn't give you much to go on, but confident that some of you are up to the challenge.

Not like a 36 Chrysler. I agree with the head light placement is is probably a 35-37 car.  Looks like the whole windshield frame is chrome.  Film made in Mexico, may be a foreign car?

I'm not one to speculate about Fords very much, but I wonder if that '41 isn't a short door business coupe? Any thoughts?

Ha....my honey thinks I'm an expert tease, too, but that's a whole other story....
