Kean Thompson
I would like to know what brand wheels these are so I can locate some rims. Ideally, also the car that they fit. I have the full set which are in very good condition. The photos tell the story and one photo contains all the key measurements. I will also place a wanted ad for the appropriate rims. speedster1930@hotmail.com
1912Staver
Have you carefully inspected the steel rim bands { fellow bands} ? They often had a makers mark stamped into them, sometimes even a part number.. Use emery strips or similar and shine up the whole outside surface, sometimes the stamping is quite light. Kean Thompson
I will go and inspect them now.
Kean Thompson
You were absolutely right. THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!! See attached photo. * FIRESTONE L 33 x 4 This indicates 25" rims - correct? So the measurement must be across the widest edge of the felloe band.
1912Staver
Firestone rims are a bit of a mixed blessing in my experience. They are popular and well documented , but that just means there are quite a few people looking for the same parts you will be. I am not aware of any good re - productions but if there are no doubt they will be quite expensive. Not a simple rolled rim, the inside where the rim bears on the fellow band has two tapered ridges. Difficult to re - produce without very expensive tooling / rolling dies. I am still looking for some correct rim clamps myself. Either type B, C or E rims can be used . But all of them are hard to find in decent condition. Greg in Canada Edited October 5, 2019 by 1912Staver (see edit history)

Yes. 1 hour ago, Kean Thompson said: So the measurement must be across the widest edge of the felloe band. The measurement is at the bottom of the rim where the tire bead sits. Kean Thompson
If I had one to go by, I would approach a mate who makes rims of a very high quality.

alsfarms
Kean, If you are not successful at locating the proper 25" Firestone rims, you may consider buying 26". These could be cut to fit and re-rolled/tig welded to fit the proper circumference and become 25" to fit your wheels. Al
Kean Thompson
Are 26" any easier to locate?
Bloo
Doubtful, but it does increase your chances a bit. There sure aren't many cars out there that use 26 inch tires.

There sure aren't many cars out there that use 26 inch tires. I recall that in 1996, at our big International rally (1500 cars) here in NZ, there was a big National - supposedly an ex Indianapolis race car - visiting from Canada that was on 26" wheels. The owner said he was about to convert it to 27' as at that time 26" tyres were near impossible to get. There were several cars of the era there running on 27s.
Bloo
Both 27 and 25 seem to be more common. I never see 26. I could really use some 34x4 (or other 26") tires that are good enough to roll a chassis around the shop on.
alsfarms
To get 25" Firestone rims that will fit, keep on looking. They will probably show up, with patience. Or resize the 26" or 27" , work yes, but if you are in a hurry resizing is an option. None of these rims are readily available it just take time and patience to put together a set. sagefinds
Bernie Golias of Ohio had five of them on the HCCA website for a couple months. They weren't all identical and no bead rings or lockrings but all 25" Firestones if I'm not mistaken.

Pre15
I have one 25 inch firestone type C rim with rings, possibly another bead ring and several wedge rings if you are interedted
sagefinds
I can't ethically print Bernie's number here but he is in the HCCA roster in Ohio if you have one to look in or PM me and I'll send it.
