I found an ad for stainless windshield trim listed for a  1937 Buick.  I've never seen a '37 with stainless windshield trim.  I was told '38 Limiteds had them.  I've found pictures on the net of '38s iwith the trim.  Specials share windshield rubber with '37 Lasalles and I've seen a few on the net with the trim.  I was wondering if possibly people used the Lasalle trim to dress up their Buicks.

I think that this is part number 4082336, which is found in section 10-093 of the Body Parts Manual. It was used on 1938 80 and 90 series except convertibles. That appears to be the only Windshield weatherstrip revel molding used on any 1938 Buick. There does not appear to be a listing for a Windshield weatherstip reveal molding on any 1937 Buick. The parts manual seems to show that Buick used similar moldings on about everything starting in 1939.

Take a look at the Front End Friday  thread in Prewar.  It shows some 1937-38-39s with stainless windshield surround, including my 39 Roadmaster.  I wonder if the stainless trim was something one saw standard on windshields and rear windows on 60/80/90 series late 1930s Buicks, but not on 40 series cars.
