Oregon Desert model 45
NOT MINE 1928 Buick Coupe, wire wheels, dual side mounts - $9500 (South Boulder) https://boulder.craigslist.org/cto/d/1928-buick-coupewire-wheels/6249658326.html 1928 Buick, brought to Boulder from Michigan in the 1960s. Driven very little. Runs good, needs tires. A beautiful classic. Rare Buffalo wire wheels. Bumpers, radiator shell and trim have been re plated. Wheels reconditioned and painted. The rest of the car untouched. This car has been in my family for over 50 years. It is time to find a new home, and get it out of the barn. jeff_a
Quite a nice car. The Standard Catalog by Kimes and Clark shows an opera coupe that´s close and the closest in the listings is a Country Club Coupe for $1765, 128" w.b., and about 6,500 built out of 220,000 total. This one does seem to have the 2 doors, seating for 4, and top hat compartment of the era´s opera coupes. dibarlaw
This looks to be a top of the line 128" WB Model 58, 5 passenger Victoria coupe. Price new $1,850. 9,984 produced. Asking price seems right on the money. Nice accessories with the travel trunk wire wheels and side mounts. Below is a car that came to our Mason-Dixon show in June. The owner had purchased the car last September for $11,000. It had been an AACA Senior award car in 1973. The car was only available in Maroon. And yes the interior is very correct
jscheib
Larry, Can you tell why the radiator looks different. The first posting from CL almost looks like a Marquette radiator, with a Buick shell? Is this possible?/ John
keiser31
Ornamental landau bars.
alsancle
The "Buffalo Wires" simply refer to wire wheels made by Wire Wheel Corp of Buffalo. They tended to be on high end cars. Stutz, Duesenberg, etc. Nice car Btw. Good deal I think.

If you look closely at that image it appears as if it is a rod with an eye bolt through the bottom. It does not look to be attached at the top, but could just be a shadow. There is a faint diamond pattern in red on the radiator core. So I do not have a clue as to what this may have been for. Holder for a winter front??
keiser31
I think the center strip on the radiator had been added later and not a Buick item.
1928Buick
it's a 1928 Model 58 Victoria Coupe. First production was Boulevard Maroon. Second Production was Boulevard Maroon Medium, Final production was solid Black, with a Sport Green Moulding, striped in cream. The top is Not original. The dash has been repainted, should be sport green, and walnut trim is missing or painted over(?), interior should be Dark Green mohair (22 oz), landau bars are ornamental. Frame number should be just past 2 million, headlights tilted and out of adjustment. makes me think the car is tampered with more than the ad states. Buffalo Wire Wheels were a brand of Wire Wheels and were the Brand contracted to Buick to supply. The option added $350.00 to the purchase price, and included a mandatory trunk rack in either single (standard) or folding double (extra cost) size, along with reconfigured fuel filler spout. The trunk is incorrect for this year and model. It has no "hat box" but a full rear seat. The model 48 had a "parcel container" next to the two-place rear seat. Beautiful car, many of them still around.
