Grimy
NOT MINE: Jerry Gould Auction Company, 6200 Price Way, Bakersfield, CA at 9:00 AM PDT on Saturday July 23, 2016, telephone bids accepted. Preview is Friday July 22 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at same address. For details on the AUCTION including bidding and payment requirements, call Gould Auction at (559) 587-3123 during business hours. For information on the VEHICLES, call Al Engel at (559) 688-8844. The auction company has NOT been responsive to questions and requests for more information I submitted via their website, two weeks apart, so I recommend telephone as the only means of getting more information. I am told that TELEPHONE BIDS will be accepted, but anyone interested should search their website and ask questions by phone about bidder qualification and payment requirements. Note when going to website that this company is www.gouldauction.com (singular of 'auction'), and that a completely different company is gouldauctions.com (plural of 'auction'). I was allowed to drive this 1919 Pierce-Arrow Series 51 on the 2008 Modoc Tour and found it to be an excellent performer. Other vehicles being auctioned include 1911 Kissel 40 hp model D-11, 1968 Dodge Coronet 426 Hemi 4-speed restored, enclosed car trailer, 2006 Dodge Cummins diesel dually pickup tow vehicle, 1979 Mercedes 450SL, vintage motorcycles. trimacar
A beautiful car. Would be bidders would do well to do their research and understand what this car is, it's well known to Pierce Arrow Society members, and there have been some modifications from new. I'd love to have it in my garage, for sure!

C Carl
What did this magnificent car sell for ? - Carl
trimacar
High bid, that took it, was a little over $50K. Nice car, with an incorrect but impressive body. A fair buy, the car was actually bid much higher at a previous auction (85K or so) but not sold then.... https://www.bidspotter.com/en-us/auction-catalogues/gould-auction/catalogue-id-gould-10006/lot-f20474c8-ac8f-420f-929d-a62c0153c935
mercer09
at 50k, the car was "stolen".......................................!
edinmass
Not so sure on the stolen comment, a very nice factory bodied four passenger touring that I would be proud to own went for 75 last year. It ran and drove great. Market on these cars are all over the place right now, and the 85 bid could have been a shill pushing it up. The venue used to sell the car was a poor choice.
