EmTee Posted November 16, 2018 Share Posted November 16, 2018 I definitely recommend that you replace the timing chain and nylon-tooth cam gear before painting and reinstalling the engine. The nylon teeth will certainly fail and you'll never have better access to the engine than while it is out of the car. Great story and i love the detailed pictures! So I'll take them in the week to a milling turner to rectify them and change the collector output studs (those who fix it on the exhaust line). Then I had a small problem with an exhaust manifold thread, a piece is broken. A friend welder trade has come to join me this piece with rods for cast iron. Once the two parts clean and enlarged slots to the deburrer to weld, everything returns to order . He voluntarily did not grind the welds to the maximum to leave more material.
