keiser31
Looks to be pretty darn original....
1957Birdman
It definitely looks that way on the outside, not so much in the engine compartment and interior. The engine compartment is been painted black which is incorrect and the carburetor has been replaced. The interior is not completely original either (the seat covers should be turquoise and white and the door panels should be white. It looks like a really good restoration candidate. cahartley
Better yet buy a cheap set of seat covers and drive the wheels off of it.......

Matt Harwood
The carburetor upgrade is a good one. Getting rid of that Holley "teapot" piece of junk would make any Thunderbird a better car. Looks odd, works so much better.
JACK M
Mixed thoughts on the Tea Pot. With a little patients they can be made dependable.
60FlatTop
I had a Y block rebuilt and balanced for a customer back in the 1990's. It was a '55 T-Bird that I did the R&R and tune on. For a shakedown I took it to a cruise night 50 miles away. It was all stock and while it sat there idling I set one of those flat bottomed ice cream cones on the air cleaner. That was a crowd pleaser for the guys whom knew. Didn't help my modesty a bit.
