John_S_in_Penna
With the March 2016 software upgrade, one feature that was useful is no longer visible: The numbering of each posting within a thread. For example, in the past in long topics I have seen people refer to so-and-so's comment on "Post #59." Now, each posting isn't numbered, so those past references have no meaning. Those numbers were also helpful as mental bookmarks to remember where a specific posting was in a long, long topic. Can they be reinstated? 1 Link to comment
Taylormade
I agree, these are sorely missed, especially in long threads. Link to comment
capngrog
I also agree that the numbering of the Posts was most helpful. Cheers, Grog Link to comment
John_S_in_Penna
On another thread titled "Forum Upgrade," user 60 Flat Top concurred: 'I just noticed that posts are no longer numbered in sequence. There have been a few times when I have referred to a previous post by number. Some of the strings get pretty long, might miss that feature. Bernie" I can't tell you which posting that was, because they aren't numbered! Peter, have you found a way to reinstate the numbering? 1 Link to comment
MrEarl
it would help the moderators also in referencing posts that are being moderated or are an issue. All that is available now is the date Link to comment
Ronnie
It's better but I'm not able to read it unless I hover right over it. I wonder if anyone will notice the change unless they see this post. Does it have to grayed out for some reason? Link to comment

Ronnie I think you will notice several less significant text lines are grayed out in the newer software upgrades. I don't mind it as it helps my eyes concentrate on the more significant, if that make sense. Link to comment

I thought when Peter said, "better?", that he was asking for input so I commented. I'm grateful that we have the numbers back no matter the color. 1 Link to comment
John_S_in_Penna
Yes, thank you for making that improvement, Peter. Gray or black or blue or purple, those posting #'s are really helpful. Link to comment
