Rusty_OToole
Appears someone is trying to duplicate the supercharger installation tested by Packard on the straight eight in 1953 or 54. alsancle
I don't like the valve cover imitation of a Dupont Straight 8. Otherwise kind of neat I guess.
West Peterson
What is the purpose of the valve cover???
R W Burgess
Looks like a different engine to me, West????The mounting brackets are different?
Rusty_OToole
They are 2 different engines. I don't recognize the OHV with the cross flow head. Could it be a truck engine from the fifties?
alsancle
I thought it was just sealing the ignition system ala Dupont but you are right, it looks different.
auburnseeker
Definitely a different engine. Look at the water neck location.
misterc9
I believe the engine with the valve cover is a mid 50s Willys six. These were used In Kaiser Darrins. Some were set up with the red McColloch supercharger used on the Kaiser Mahattan 226 flathead.
nick8086
The engine with the valve cover is in this car... Both motors are 1954. I checked my email..
