Guest my3buicks
This 55 Super was at Hershey in the car corral for sale. I have seen other 55's done in a similar orange but can't find in the color charts that it is proper or a name for it. I know they came out with some spring colors combo's in 55 but I can't find it in those either. Thoughts from the 55 guys?
Guest mstanleyfl
Hemi orange before the Challenger got it?
Guest BJM
off side question. Was the seller claiming it was original and/or to the best of your knowledge did it look original? I too would like to hear from the 55 guys. This is the kind of question the forum makes for interesting reading.

jackofalltrades70
If it would have had a peel, it would definately been orange. I snapped shots of the priduce, er car myself. Trust me, it were orange.
64Riv-King
It looked sharp inside and out. I think they were asking $26,000 ish
JohnD1956
Reminds me of the 56 Buick that came from Germany for the 2003 Flint Meet.
buick5563
There is an awful lot of yellow in Cherokee Red. Maybe his paint was matched in the sun.No Keith, there wasn't an actual "orange".

Guest Rob McDonald
What about Bob Coker's '55 Century 4-door Riviera prototype? Isn't it orange? Could "tributes" of special factory issues be considered acceptable on the show field? Probably not but it sure does look sharp!
Guest my3buicks
Rob, it was one of those combo's that should have been available, it was very sharp, and most would not have even questioned it, as it looked so good.
Pete Phillips
The car's red and black interior, which I think was original, made the orange paint look strange to me. They clashed. I'm pretty sure the paint was a recent repaint, but the interior was original. While I was looking at it, someone else was questioning that shade of orange and whether it was correct or not.Pete PhillipsBCA #7338
Guest my3buicks
You are correct Pete, the red interior didn't work, but I agree it appeared to be a good original interior.
Centurion
I know that you're familiar with Cherokee Red, Keith. It is amazing how orange the color looks in certain lighting conditions. Here's a photo Gary Klecka sent me of his '55 Roadmaster, which is Temple Gray and Cherokee Red: Edited October 18, 2013 by Centurion (see edit history)
60FlatTop
I think that car may have been the 1955 Raffle Car for this other October event: http://www.dispatch.com/content/pages/video.html?ooid=tveGJ4ZjrWzLcgmuHehWqITQhrrUMc-Z&cmpid=shareBernie
