bhambulldog
I would suggest SMS Interiors for restoration. The material they sent to me were exactly matching the original material in my car.

Guest Rob McDonald
Wow, Buick offered a lot of choices in '55. Is that really orange leather or is it more of a saddle colour? Several of the fabrics are very attractive, including the brocade that Earl B. is struggling to like. In '57, the designer of the Color and Trim book made the choices much easier, with illustrations of the interior layouts, opening face-to-face with the actual materials. Thanks very much for sharing. Paul Falabella
Excellent reference, thanks for the post. Any mention of painted interior trim colors or headliners?
bhambulldog
no mention of headliner (material nor color). Nor of dashboard paint, nor sill paint.carpet color and seat rail color are not mentioned. It is not comprehensive.the Century wagon (model 69) is not mentioned. For the trim code in my car only one vinyl (white cordaveen) color is mentioned. (my rear bolsters are original, including the blue cordaveen)I think the book is a sales tool. Not an assembly guide..... Earl B.
Still James, it's helpful, and Rob, I'd just about be willing to shoot somebody if 1955 had a book like 1957 and I could get a look at it.It's not the material I dislike so much, it's the square patterened vinyl inserts I'm not thrilled with.... Well, nobody's purfekt,, least of all me.

old-tank
wow!! That one is not in better shape than mine.......maybe yours IS for sale. About 15 years ago at a BCA national meet, I was 'negotiating' with a vendor when someone came up and plopped down 7 Benjamins and walked away with it. If you are here on these forums...I hate you.Willie

I hopefully will get my interior redone this winter in the correct patterns, my seat inserts are flat where it should have the cool square pattern. Has anyone ordered this fabric/vinyl from SMS?
