Either 1911 or maybe 1912 - I am not sure of the difference. It looks a little odd with the windscreen up in the 'forward' position. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wac Posted December 7, 2011 Share Posted December 7, 2011 I don't believe it's an Overland, though many were exported. The hood is too long for a 4-cylinder engine. Layden B Posted December 7, 2011 Share Posted December 7, 2011 (edited) A close inspection of the original picture may resolve this, many Overlands have their script painted on the hood at an angle. Hard to see but this may be one of them.Here is one that is also hard to see just above the headlamp. franklinman Posted December 8, 2011 Share Posted December 8, 2011 Pretty sure it's Overland. Layden is correct re the slanted script on the hood corner (If you look close it's there). TheMoneyPit Posted December 8, 2011 Share Posted December 8, 2011 I like the Ford T sticking it's nose out - looks like a 1912 to me, but could be earlier or later as there were differences between US and UK cars. I agree that the main car in the picture is an Overland - as Layden points out the script is there - I can't think of another company who did that script stencil the same. Ian Hayhurst Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 The photo starting the thread is a 1912 Overland Model 59-T Touring, I believe. The 1911's had flat rear fenders and outboard levers. The larger 1912 Model 61 has running boards with integrated tool boxes.Layden's photo looks like an earlier and larger 1910 Model 42--one of my favourites--but I could be mistaken.Great photos!Ian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
