Guest greg walsh
Hi, Someone locally has a traffic light finder that was a 57 Chevy accessory for sale and I wondered it it would work on my 35 Buick. I don't know if they had them then or would it look too out of place. I do think it would help at the red lights since my windshield is so narrow. Any thoughts? Thanks. Shop Rat
First question is, do you show or plan to show the Buick at AACA National Meets? If so then there are deductions for non-authentic, non-factory authorized accessories. If you don't plan to show the Buick at AACA National Meets then this would not be an issue to you. Amphicar BUYER
I wouldn't think a traffic light viewer would be needed unless you have a visor that blocks your upward view.

Paul Dobbin
It does help with traffic lights. We have one in our 35 Buick, and with that low windshield, it's a neck saver.
Rusty_OToole
If you are taller than the average 1930s driver, the traffic lights can be impossible to see without bending your neck down and peeking up. Not very comfortable.I think the light finders are being reproduced. If it was my car I would have one but would not mount it by drilling holes. Would have it removable for shows. Guest ken bogren
Construct some kind of magnetic base for it. Then you can simply pop it out of sight if it matters for judging.
Malo48
The reproduction viewers with magnetic bases show up on eBay a lot, sure beats drilling a hole!
Amphicar BUYER
I have a viewer (not a "finder") in my Skyliner. It does work well, repop with a magnetic base. Edited September 9, 2011 by Amphicar BUYER (see edit history)
