Yup the welding supply store is the place to go for a custom length cable. But I'd go for "0" gauge on a cable that long. You need to eliminate as much resistance as possible to avoid starter related issues later.

I second the suggestion to go with # 0 cable.

If you can't find what you want at a welding shop, try a place that services heavy trucks.

I have heard it said that welding cable should not be used for starter wiring

I believe to do with the fine strands. I would recommend the farm tractor dealers. Also the lugs if you want them are available at most supply houses.
